I am eager to begin my venture of running Russia and will need a save file sent. I will get it in a ICQ session hopefully before sunday if i get everything DLed. What patch are we on? and what times are we playing? i know as my computer began playing games with me the times had changed a bit and i just need a refresher on when the game is.

I cannot promise an active Russia at first as I will have to get her back up to speed. That said please remember that I prefer the world to stay at the existing status qou.

Germany i congratulate you on your current position as leader. I expect that we will have a few discussions. I am eager to bring the bear out of hybernation.

I do have a few concens.

1. How fair my allies? Let me know in ICQ.

2. Finland is to remain independent. sorry KoM.

3. A new Austrian rumblings concern me as I still remember the tensions that were around the last time this Nation stirred.

4. My first act will be to Gaurantee the Independence of all the neighboring nations which were formerly part of Russia. It was not nor is the intent that they be released into independence just to be gobbled up by would be Empires.

5 last point is Peace in Europe and Peace for the world.

Weekly Game Update

We had 7 players this weekend. Game speed was set to Very Slow for most of the game. We played from September 1st 1893 to November 15th 1895.

The players this session:

• King of Men - Scandinavia
• Lotus Lo - Prussia
• Traveler - Italy
• Dominus - France
• RCBricker - Russia
• Robtimus Prime - Spain
• Thirchak - Austria

This game saw the return of RC, which ushered in a wave of diplomatic wrangling the likes of which had been missing from the game for many weeks. Thirchak, the newest player quickly set about rebuilding Austria creating much angst and saber rattling. I wont tell ya more, so you’ll have to read the AAR and Diplomacy threads to get all the info.

I spoke to my ISP again, and my connection now seems much improved - at this time of night I should be getting web pages about one try in five, and so far I haven't seen any 'cannot be shown' messages. So looking good. They did say there might be a very slight performance hit, which I hope doesn't mean 50%. If it's as small as he seemed to imply, there shouldn't be a problem, since my connection wasn't the slowest anyway - just the most intermittent.

Talking about ISP problems- I have been unable to play HOI or Vicky online for months until a few weeks ago.

My ISP shut down certain ports on my DSL connection because they thought I was running a proxy server from home. But I was only hosting a lot of HOI games. It took some time to explain that. After that I got a nice sorry letter from them and a few months of payments back.
