Hey, I know its kinda late, seeing as you guys are preparing to start this weekend, but are you still accepting players? If so, just assign me a country you would like to see filled (I'm too tired tonight to figure out one to request)... This is the first MP game I've found, in quite a while, which fits perfectly in my limited bit of free time...

Welcome, we will take as many players who are willing to show up on a regular basis. My experience has been they start big and finish small. So if you are a determined and serious player then you will do fine.

I hope I don't sound incredibly ignorant if I ask, first, how do I get an ICQ number, and secondly, could you tell me how to connect up my copy of Vicky for MP?

Do a web search for ICQ, and you can dl a client program which when you start will give you a number.
As for Vicky, when you start up intead of choosing single player click multiplayer, as it seems we will be doing a hosted game instead of valkryie choose "internet". the next screen will give you the choice to join or host and below that have a box to enter the IP number.
You will enter the number of whoever is the host in that spot and click join.

As to using a mod. i have another Vicky MP going (in which both Habs and kat are present) so the inclusion of any mod would mean I’m out of this MP

Hmmm, ya, I don't want to play the UK, so seeing as besides that Prussia seems to be the only available regular state, I guess I'll grab that..

I now rejoice in the ICQ number 205752074. As a completely OT aside, I wonder how many numbers people accumulate through their lives? Just moving to the US I have acquired a Social Security, student ID, bank account, several new PINs, and an IP and now ICQ. On top of the stuff I had from Norway, to be sure. It gets to be quite a bit after a while.

I just contacted as many people as possible via ICQ. Please contact each other and ensure you have everyone on your ICQ list. I want to say thank you to all the players that are helping each other and answering questions. Sunday is approaching and we have one last issue to iron out. Are we gonna AI big countries (big countries = major powers). Once we have a consensus I'll post it at the top of the thread.
