Status Report #19: Mounting Tensions
Status Report #19: Mounting Tensions

Our excavations brought remarkable findings – by some vile magic a whole Vanguard settlement has been cursed and hidden from this plane of existence for who knows how long. But by good old Dvar sturdyness we thoroughly managed to untangle the psionic witchcraft! We freed a confused band of vanguard settlers from their curse.
colony.PNG

Considering our Business partners on this planet all are Vanguard, we think the wise choice is to treat them well, lest they give the warmongering pack on this planet a reason to attack us. We will carefully guide them towards our southern shores to settle. In respect to the Vanguard Commanders we fear for the worst! Have they silently agreed upon an attack on us? Their armies in any case are worryingly close, just outside the borders of our northern vault is an impressive Airforce of Dreadreaprs Gunships lead by one of his high ranking generals, while our expeditionary force that selflessly helped free the Vanguard settlers is been tracked by Valefors army under the pretense to uphold the pyramid at Sacrarium as neutral ground. As if it was us that broke any treaty so far!
onallfronts2.PNG

But this is nothing compared to the situation at our offshore holding: Separated from fast reinforcements by the channel our offshore heaven finds itself exposed to a classical pincer movement by Dreadreaprs army in the north and Commander Flammz in the south

onallfronts1.PNG

Undeclared armies on the northern and southern borders of our Offshore Vault

Screenshot (110).png

Lurking at the borders and greedily(?) eyeing Offshore Vault - Commander Reaprs Airforce

We see no other option but to let go of our holding - If we want to have any chance we must hope for Reapr and Flammz to start fighting over our jewel across the sea, the prosperous Offshore Vault while we can focus on the oathbreaker Valefor that swindled himself to dominion over our brethren in Kasimonov on OUR turf! So with heavy heart we sent the following offer towards Commander Flammz.
Flammz-deal.PNG

Grim tides are ahead it looks like a war is coming one way or another. But rest assured we will protect our property to the last suit!

Best regards from tense times

Of course things went differently than expected! We wouldn’t have thought but commander Flammz is not the flame spreading madmen we thought him to be, on the contrary he is rather careful and doesn’t dare to fight commander Reapr on his own. At the same time commander Reapr just outright declares war on us pretending noble intentions by giving us “ample time”. So I guess the rocks have fallen and the Ingotts consortium will activate it’s war gear and teach this rascal a lesson.
warandpiece.PNG

Let’s just hope Commander Valefor doesn’t take the opportunity to backstab us from the east… But with a bit of grumbling we can maybe let him have the old Energy Pyramid at Sacrarium hoping this appeasement will be enough to keep him peaceful towards us.

But now excuse me we got a war to win and preparations must be made in a hurry!

We didn’t even have to ask Commander Flammz to make good on our defensive pact. As soon as Reapr heard the news he declared war on Flammz and seeing the heavy fortifications we were able to install (under great costs) at our Offshore Vault he went for the weaker target attacking and quickly overwhelming the defenders on commander Flammz outpost.
reaprwin.png

A valiant fight from Commander Flammz forces, but for naught. In the end the Reapr rules the skies!

Reapr uses this to swiftly move forward with his mobile Gunship Armada attacking Quenry, Commander Flammz capital. Heavy fighting occurs and both sides have considerable losses but in the end Commander Flammz forces heroically hold on against the onslaught from above and Reaprs army is decimated in these parts of the land

flamingflammz.png

Flammz capital in flames as Reaprs Gunships launch a heavy attack.

reaprloss.png

But ultimately Flammz defenses hold and Reaprs Gunship numbers are reduced.

This could be a turning point, not only are the main forces of Flammz and me now back in control on this continent, but Dreads criminal and wreckless attack on unprepared Vanguard settlements should also clearly prove to Commander Valefor and Martinez that they are not safe from Reaprs aggressions. We therefore intensified our diplomatic efforts to make them join in against Reapr so that this war can swiftly end and commerce can flow once more (see our appeal to the Commanders Martinez and Valefor).

Unfortunately until then quite a few battles have to be fought we fear as more of Reaprs Gunships start to show up at our northern shore.
Screenshot (145).png

Reaprs fighters invade our northern shore and Commander Valefor is still neutral with considerable forces in the area as well.

We‘ll keep you updated

Sincerely

Status report 22: Crisis Diplomacy

Our diplomatic efforts show results! Or maybe it is just Commander Nikki and Commander Valefor trying to take advantage of the hard work Commander Flammz military and our own security force are doing in keeping Commander Reaprs invasive military at bay. But both Commander Martinez and Commander Valefor have declared war on the agressor commander Reapr, at least on paper... Valefor is using the opportunity to enforce his statement on the demarcation line with everything west of Sacrarium being our territory while he lays claim to everything east of it. Conveniently ignoring that he still holds posession over our brethren at Kasimov situated clearly west of Sacrarium and not mentioning that he also claims Sacrarium for his realm… but on the other hand he is somewhat refreshingly blue eyed and offering us his puny intelligence about Reapr, as if we wouldn’t have a much more accurate count of Reaprs army strength already, at least he isn’t leading his army against us and we won’t give him a reason to do so – we are occupied with Commander Reaprs forces...
valefordiplo.PNG

Valefor making up demarcation lines he himself doesn't keep to and trying to play it down by well meant, but worthless, information.

In the meantime we managed to make a “forward protective measure” in Reaprs realm by liberating the Celestian temple whose inhabitants Reapr slaughtered (see here). It is not yet fully under our control, initially we managed to end Reaprs occupational forces terrorizing the Chamber of the tranquil Ghosts, this Celestian sacred site.
tranquilghosts.png

Our peaceful approach is answered by bullets from Reaprs occupying force. But our refitted Ramjet-express takes care of that with minimal destruction to the temple environment

But now a sizeable army of Reaprs gunships has been spotted and we might have to temporarily retreat waiting for reinforcements but if Reapr continues to push into Commander Flammz holdings we will seize any exposed property as reparation. Of course we are more interested in a peaceful agreement and decide to give Reapr a way out of this war against us, we wouldn’t mind the Vanguard fighting among themselves, it would create plenty of business opportunities we believe. Unfortunately the delusional commander is not willing to listen to reason…
reaprsspunk.PNG

Clearly not trying to talk his way out - Commander Reapr

And so we must prepare to bring him down by force. Without any allies we don’t believe he can win this war. But we must focus on bringing this to an end in which the Ingotts make a profit.

Energetic greetings from Stardust

Status Report 23: The Battle of Velun
Status Report 23: The Battle of Velun

Surrounded by enemies Commander Reapr had to withdraw to his continent, but we push him relentlessly.
OPPayback.png

The planned incursions against Reaprs lands requires tricky maneuvreing due to stay safe from his mobile strike stacks.

His massacres on the townsfolk of Commander Flammz must be punished and so Commander Flammz and me are pushing into Reaprs territory, we established a passage from our northern vault over the Chamber of the tranquil ghosts all the way to Rastinber, the original base of Reaprs operations in the west. Flammz also pushes Reapr back and manages to take Velun, Reaprs military base on the south, everything proceeds as planned. Holding Rastinber and Velun would provide a nice buffer to keep Dread away from our industrial centres.
But it was a trap! - The Reapr consolidated his army and shortly after Velun is captured Flammz finds himself exposed to a blitz attack from Reapr and his fast Gunships and takes a critical loss.

itsatrap.png

A surprisingly onesided battle ends with the annihilation of Flammz troops – The battle of Velun.

We are now hurrying with our secondary army towards Flammz capital to help defend it should Reapr try to take the opportunity and invade Flammz lands again. On their way they run extensive weapon tests, especially of our new electrified munition that is being distributed quickly throughout our army to electrocute Reaprs Gunships.

weapontest.png

Testing our weapon systems while rushing towards Flammz capital to help against a possible attack from Reapr – We stand by our allies.

The Battle of Velun is a great loss without doubt, but we still hold Rastinber and should Reapr decide to continue his aggressions and cross the seas towards Flammz again we will march over Nosbeth towards his capital. And should he turn towards Rastinber and try to get a second Velun he is going to learn that the Dvar are sturdy!

Another development is also starting to become slightly worrying – The success and quick rise of Commander Martinez, our prospectors are learning the extent of her vast expanses in the north and while Flammz and I are stuck in a vicious fight against Reapr, commander Martinez is using the freedoms granted by Reaprs preoccupation to dominate the north and already sacked two of Reaprs former holdings without much of a fight. It is already clear that Commander Martinez is a big benefactor of Flammz and my military operations. So we have ordered our intelligence to start tracking her progress closely.
We must already start thinking of what comes after the war against Reapr has settled.

Always planning how to prosper for the deposits of the Ingotts consortium

Status Report 24: The end of the world as we know it

Reapr didn’t charge after Commander Flammz, he didn’t accept any peace treaty we offered, instead he moved on Rastinber, the town from which he launched his first attacks against us and from which he slaughtered the Monks at the celestian Chamber of tranquil Ghosts. But this time we are ready to face him and move out to meet him on the Ruins of Gangrene (theres good machinery to protect in Rastinber after all!)
Approach.png

The fate of the Ingotts consortium on Stardust is going to be decided in the Ruins of Gangrene

As we clash Stardust stands still for a moment the roar of Gunship battlegroups darken the sky and they quickly sweep down on our flanks electrocuting many proud Dvar, but especially our well equipped “Shocker-Bulwarks” respond in in kind and slowly but steadily the sky clears as more and more wrecks of gunships smolder in the Ruins of Gangrene and finally we can deliver the man responsible for all this mayhem and uselessly burned energy as we deliver justice to commander Reapr.
Dvarvenstand.png

After extensive fighting and many losses, the war criminal Reapr is finally going to pay the price for challenging the might of the Ingotts.

Shortly thereafter the information is circulated that his emergency capsule has launched and is already out of Stardusts orbit, now chaos rules his former bases.
One vanguard and thereby unfortunately also one potential customer has left the planet, we would have loved to make business with him and we are still sad he attacked us, this war has cost us energy and manpower. But now we must focus on profit again to be prepared for whatever future developments will bring.

I will keep you updated as I’m sure there are plenty interesting things going to happen now that the war is over.

Energetic regards

Status Report 25: Brave new world

The war is over and as we feared Commander Martinez has been profiting greatly from it, while Commander Flammz and our forces were locked in battle with Reaprs gunship armadas, Commander Martinez silently took control over two of Commander Reaprs settlements and expanded unmolested in the north. Not only is commander Martinez greedily grabbing land but also has the biggest arsenal of military equipment on this planet, especially after the we had such a big price to pay in the final fight against the Reapr.
dangernik.png

We are not amused, the spoils of war went the wrong direction!
And now there are also other things to consider, the settlements formerly under Reaprs control are in Chaos and easy targets, we must prevent Commander Martinez from grabbing even more land and are therefore on our way towards Worinton, the former capital of commander Reapr. Ideally we want to gain control over it and trade it for Kasimov , our brethren in the south, that are still under the rule of Valefor. This would resolve a constant dispute with Valefor and prevent Martinez from dominating the north undisputed while we could reunite with our lost brethren. Also we hope it would strengthen Valefor to confront Martinez as their militaries are well rested and equipped staying out of the fight with Reaprs army. We must prevent those two to work together.

In that regards our defensive pact with Commander Flammz might be a hindrance to our business as we are a bit afraid that it could encourage the formation of a military block between Martinez and Valefor and we therefore suggested an end of the defensive pact between Flammz and us to signal that we are open to business with all parties and prevent Martinez and Valefor from feeling the need to form a pact themselves.

Whatever the next days will bring we will also start to refill our coffers as the war has brought great distress to our energy resources.

Greetings from a pacified but diplomatic challenging planet Stardust

26th Status report: Surprising diplomacy

Things are going well, nearly too well! Commander Flammz agreed to our proposal and we loosened out military ties, we are not in a defensive pact anymore. Immediately Commander Valefor asked us if everything is alright and if we would need his assistance…
Screenshot (25).png

We think we are fine thanks...

We politely declined after all we ended our pact with Commander Flammz to send the message that we are open for business and underline our position as strong and independent party on this planet.
We also managed to secure Worinton, the old HQ of Reapr, we are not too interested in it though and offered it to Valefor in exchange for our brethren in the south. Worinton is bigger than Kasimov, with access to a shield laboratory even it’s the opportunity of a lifetime! But Valefor declined?! Now we have great stretches of land within our holdings and are a bit afraid that we are seen as greedy landgrabbers, a label that we think would suit Commander Martinez much better!

To counter this development we are sending a steady flow of energy from Worinton to every Vanguard commander to buy their loyality. We offered Valefor and Martinez 10 daily energy credits for a month and 20 daily energy credits to commander Flammz because he was the only one actually bearing the burden of actively fighting Reapr with us, none shall say we don’t care about our allies. But no dvar could have ever predicted the outcome of this offer, this will occupy dvar sociologists for years!

dvarsociostudy.png

A study for the ages, the vanguard are not all homo oeconomicus

The winner clearly is Commander Martinez, Valefor is as expected but what terrifying condition does commander Flammz have? What madman have we been fighting with?!
Diplomacy and sociological studies aside we hope not to be torn into another fight because we have started a great expedition and started unearthing an ancient tomb, fascinating, we just hope we are not digging up the stinking uncle of one our Vanguard commanders on this planet they all HAVE been in cryosleep for a while after all…

The part of our military that is not unearthing the tomb has been dispatched to keep the southern water calm and free of pirates (those are always bad for trade!)

Dear stakeholders,

The deposit of Commander Martinez has not arrived, maybe it was a fluke to start with! We received her unconvincing message about being robbed. We answer her that exactly this is the reason why one should store energy in our vaults!
ofcourse.png

And this is why you trust Dvar with your energy deposits and not the Vanguard!
Otherwise a fallacious tranquillity has settled in our vicinity, in the big ocean bordering Martinez, Valefor and Flammz spheres of influence the last islands are settled but around our borders is an eerie silence. Planetfall lies in wait of the next big uproar. We use the time to consolidate the surprisingly large stretches of land we now control and for research. we found a rotten Tyrannodon cadaver that interests our scientists, but by the great smith I can’t say why, and much more interesting the tomb we mentioned earlier is pristine, we had our troops bear the burden of some lifedraining protection mechanism and are now proceeding further.
anomalies.png
Our scientists believe those new insights could ultimately show a way to dimensional control and I must say the theoretical riches one could achieve if our operations could be extended to parallel universes are tempting, it must be attempted, but we must tread careful as other commanders might not be as delighted about our plans as we are. Ideally we’d hope for escalating tensions between Martinez and her neighbours before we attempt anything in that regard hoping it might catch the Vanguard off guard while they are busy with internal quarrels.
But some research still has to be done before that.
We’ll keep you updated with our progress and the developments on Stardust.

28th status report: The danger named Nikki
Dear Stakeholders,
The Tyrannodon just exploded but the tomb was still surprisingly intact with hostile forces even!
Tombraider.png

Some forgotten stand between us and our treasure! (left) and our proud and thrifty excavation crew (on the right).

The “treasure” turned out to be some old highlord named "Oreus Tyre" who kept talking our ear off that we freed him from the forgotten and that he’ll be forever grateful and yadidadidaaa --- we are disappointed that there are no huge energy reserves left (Tyre said the forgotten must have eaten them all...) but the archeologists in our conglomerate are so happy to have him, our safety checks all say he is trustworthy and he operates quite the impressively designed floating warmachine. So we equipped him with some of our newest voidtech and he’ll be accompanying me in a mobile elite strike force that is going to try and find an unoccupied site to set up a new Ingotts dependancy on the continent Nikki occupies.
We start our expansion not a day too early it seems as the headlines on Stardust hit that Nikki has build something she names “Basilisk node” apparently a hyper evolved server-node and rumours have it that it is powerful enough to infiltrate even the most advanced security vaults! This touches on our business core! The safety of our vaults must not be subverted by some wretched basilisk.
AIwitchery.png

This is a danger to the integrity of our vaults!

We can not hope for vanguard internal quarrels to break out and immediately engage into business consultations with Commander Valefor and Commander Flammz as we are sure they share our concerns that access to Nikkis realm must be established.

It is fascinating how different those tall and fragile unfrosted Vanguard of old behave!
There is the Flammz, the crazy one that turned down our free energy, fast and to the point who will try to claim control over a teleporter on an island on the other side of Stardust that connects to Martinez realm, and in stark contrast the much more reasonable (took our free energy) commander Valefor who never can do or understand anything, not even when asked to simply establish a small outpost across the channel in a region called sanded sprawls just 1 sector away from his realm. It feels like the war against Dreadreapr all over again where Valefor hesitated to join and then took great care to always arrive when the fights were already done…

vanguard.png

Secret diplomatic cables

If Martinez gets away with this it will be because her only neighbour obviously has serious after-effects from the cryofrost and is a bit slow on taking any action...
We’ll keep you updated but things are certainly heating up, fortunately our energy vaults are loaded and we are well prepared this time.

29th status report: High treason and war!
War has broken out! Of course this isn’t completely unexpected, but the perfidy with which it has been declared has surprised even us.

We were personally on our way to commander Martinez’s stronghold to evaluate the basilisk node and possibly establishing a touristic outpost that would also allow us to have an eye out for the node and if it is used with malign intend when Martinez formally invited us to come and visit the basilisk. She was ensuring only peaceful usage is intended and welcomed our arms control, when we said we have a prospector in the area that can come even faster she stressed that she wants to guide us in the in person if possible. And so we came and enjoyed their hospitality.
But as soon as we reached the mid of the continent next to her capital and just little over a 1-day march away from the basilisk node Nikki turned hostile under the completely absurd pretenses that we would have enslaved vanguard cities and came to attack her cities - She had invited and escorted us to the place we are at this very moment?! The cryosleep must have damaged the vanguards cerebral cortex maybe irreversibly!
diplonikki.png

Nikki inviting us and makes sure we come in person just to ask for our surrender when we far within her grasp

Screenshot (335).png

What an unfortunate turn of events, what started as a diplomatic, trust-building, interconglomerational weapon control mission leaves us stranded in hostile environment

It is publicly known that we tried to hand over Vanguard towns liberated from Dreadreapr to Vanguard commanders, yet all agreed we should keep them. These accusations are so absurd that we feel offended for her not even trying. Regardless of that disrespect we are in the middle of a hostile continent surrounded by enemies and our scanners could pick up the humming from pulse defense turrets and aerial denial systems switching their target on our crafts.

However this despicable behaviour was even topped by Commander Valefor, after days of telling us how concerned he is about the basilisk and playing the idiot (very convincingly!) that doesn’t understand how to build outposts he shows his true intentions and the moment Nikki sets her detestable coup into motion he enters a defense alliance with her, massing troops at our borders and still ensuring us that all he wants is peace, the next day our eastern borders are breached and the regions Foggy Peaks and the Claim Jumpers range are invaded.

valeforsfolly-b.PNG

Our greedy and traitorous neighbour shows his true intentions!
This was clearly a long planned staged operation from Commander Martinez and Valefor and we are lucky that Flammz, crazy as he might be, is just as disgusted by his fellow vanguards actions as we are and agreed fight alongside us again. The Ingotts-Flammz alliance that faced down the Reapr is ready to teach these upstarts some manners!

The outcome of this treachery will most likely decide under whose dominion Stardust will fall and at the moment the traitors probably think they have all the trump cards with their basilisk and the head of the great Ingotts consortium himself stranded in the midst of their territory with their pulse turrets locking in on the Ingotts prime fleet. But they will learn that fighting the battle hardened troops of the Ingotts consortium is not something to take on so easily, we have some surprises prepared for them as well.

Stay tuned for our next report and if you have any investments into holdings of Martinez or Valefor on Stardust now is the time to get rid of them and invest in sturdy Ingotts bonds for the void-hammer shall fall on those traitors!

Grim regards

Gerd R. Ingotts

30th status report: Greed, Fall & Void research
Dear stakeholders,
with the declaration of war from our former host Martinez we were in a pickle. The dishonourable Valefor is trespassing on our property clearly under the impression that this will be his chance to access the riches in our vaults while Martinez has us trapped and will dispatch of us any moment now.

They are wrong.

As soon as we realized the treachery we sent the signal to enact the prepared emergency redeploy through the void phasing us out of Martinezes grasp right into the commando-post at our headquarters in central vault. Triggered by the state of emergency also our void barriers got activated in all vaults bordering enemy territory and two fully staffed security units have arrived from pest-control-duty in the northlands via our orbital relay system. We stay out of Valefors sight not to warn him of our approach but we wonder if he smells the danger, we know him to dabble in voidtech himself and the voidbarriers creeping in on his invading forces dragging them down could make him wary.

But he isn’t aware and greedily attacks our two pop-up stores in Foggy peaks and the claim jumpers range.
robbery.PNG

Hoping for the riches of our vault the robber baron Valefor assumes his time has finally come to lift the veil of friendliness and show his true face - attacking the outer perimeters of the Eastern Vault.

We are ready and with orbital reinforcements, the void barrier and one or two land torpedos on our side we make sure the traitor pays the bill for his treachery and the damage done to Ingott property!

downwiththetraitor.PNG

Valefor pays the price for his attempted heist into the Eastern Vault and is dispatched by Dvar security - Let this be a warning to all who trespass on the Ingott Consortiums Vault-safety zone!
This is a great victory, but in the north the mastermind behind all this Nikki Martinez is approaching with heavy war machinery, we hope we can hold because behind all of this we have started our preparations to send Martinez and his Basilisk into an alternative universe, this would be a first but our scientists ensure me that it can work and that we even would be able to siphon energy from this other universe into ours, so it might be worth every penny invested in it. Watching Martinez and Valefor bicker and try for world domination in a universe where they can’t harm us while we control the available energy in their “prison-universe” is just too tantalizing and would also open up endless possibilities for the Ingotts consortium to store energy away from all to curious eyes! It must be waged!

Best regards from Gerd R. Ingotts, defender of Energy!

31st status Report: The hunt for Valefor and and unforseen problems
31st status Report: The hunt for Valefor and and unforseen problems

Thanks to our resounding victory over Valefors attacking army the immediate danger for our Vaults is averted. But his border town of Castellum is highly fortified with yet another army ready to defend it. This is no fight we can easily take but fortunately our intelligence network found the way towards his command centre Avium is free - laying siege on that might give us the “diplomatic” leverage to press the claims of the Ingotts-consortium and end this intercontinental conflict in a somewhat civilized manner.

However when our diplomatic envoy arrives at Avium, the freshly recuperated Commander Valefor is as mad as before shouting gibberish about freedom and fights into the intercom while running away and continuing to be nothing but an expendable vasall to the pink haired witch Martinez.

diplomatic-mission.png

Our peaceful diplomats (left) and their proposal are greeted by the rambling of nothing but a mad slave. This one is lost for civilization.

We think this specimen is broken, the renewed recuperation must have given him the rest, our history-AI suggests, based on a correlation of city names with naming conventions through various eras, that this one must have been an extraordinarily long time in cryosleep. Maybe this is the reason for his behaviour. Either way to add insult to injury he is heading to Kasimonov, the Dvar town he has stolen and that has always been such a strain on our relations. We have no choice but to follow him even if that diverts our army away from Martinez where they it is bitterly needed.

The source of all that turmoil, Commander Martinez, is in the meantime becoming an immediate threat to our holdings on the northern continent where she amasses the whole might of her absurdly overpumped military force. One of her side armies even went and disturbed the chamber of tranquil ghosts. This once peaceful temple of celestian monks (before it was brutally subjugated by Dread Reapr) is yet again turned into a battlefield as Martinez goes for a show of might killing the peaceful inhabitants of this memorial site (it had a great souvenir shop!).

hostile-assault.png

Martinez troops assaulting our souvenir shopkeeper at the Chamber of the tranquil Ghosts memorial site!

Even worse is that our engineers working on the project to solve the Martinez threat by shifting Martinez and her Basilisk into another dimension came to the conclusion that currently there is just too much to shift and her realm must be culled, at least temporarily, lest the attempt will fail!

toofatforthevoid.png

Martinez is currently too large to fit through the void rift into her prison dimension we need to cut her empire down to size – FAST!

It is one thing to protect the void infrastructure, but yet a completely other one to also box Martinez in so that her empire is small enough to align the voidrift properly sending her into her prison dimension. There are busy days ahead if we want to succeed!

Best regards

32nd Status report: Madmens end and hope from the void
For all his words about valiantly fighting to the bitter end Valefor is running quite a lot, after fleeing from Avium and hiding in Kasimonov he escaped thorugh a teleporter leading towards the southern rim of Commander Flammz home continent.

Screenshot (491).png

Catching Valefors troops on the chase before they can unite with their leader

Unfortunately we can’t just let Valefor run and rot near Stardusts southpole as we have two vital Voidtowers that are accessible from there and they are absolutely vital for our plan to prepare the Voidrift for the traitor of peace (and commerce) Nikki Martinez!
So we continue our hunt into the ice and finally catch up with Valefors sorry lot in the freezing cold.

Whats left of his army has been on the run for days while we had a well prepared logistics network in support and are also filled with the righteous wrath on Valefor for all his wrongdoing and how much that has already cost us! It just so happens that our engineers are ready to start the dimensional cascade and we relay relay the start of the operation as we approach on Valefor. Reality shifts as the dimensions begin to overlap and our Voidtech engineers begin to carefully align the alternate dimensions voidrifts with Martinez realm (and channel some energy into our vaults, a completely „unplanned“ side effect of the operation). Valefor, who knows the basics of the void must be aware what is happening but fights us nonetheless.

thevoidawaits.png

Valefor falls witnessing the beginning of a dimensional cascade - Stardusts greatest scientific project! And our hope against the rule of machine

But his troops are no match for us, the fight ends quickly and unspectacular. The Valefor-organisation is now out of business. The Ingotts will take over most of whats left and the dvar of Kasimonov are finally reunited with their kin!

But the chase has left us as far from the front against Martinez as one can possibly be on Stardust, fortunately our Southern Vault is close by with a newly build orbital relay that will bring us back to civilization, still this has taken up more time and energy than we would have hoped and Martinez is not idle, we must rush to cut her realm to size before it is too late!

Great things are at stake and great spoils await the Ingotts and their allies!

Over and out

33rd status report: Commander Shepherd saves the day
The dimensional cascade is cascading, unfortunately Martinez’s realm is still too big for our engineers to align the void. So we rush towards the relay at our southern vault to transport near our eastern vault, from there we plan to cross the channel that was formerly controlled by Valefor onto Martinez continent. The northern front at the Gangrene estates is too entrenched.

At the same time our Navy, that has been patrolling between Martinez continent and our northern holdings, is ambushed and completely sunk by a fleet of stealthy ships from Martinez. Curse those Cutthroats!

Screenshot (477).png

We rule the seas no more – The pirate ships from Nikki Martinez control the water for now.
This also severs the way home for one of our scouts that was exploring the northern shores for possible ways into Nikkis realm, all on his own we give him the task to establish a forward outpost on the last free sector there, we will upgrade it to a relay outpost - if Martinez lets us - and if not we can still hope that her troops will momentarily be too thinned out to defend against our attack from Valefors former realm to her west or in the north enabling us to push into her realm from one of these and establish a foothold there. But we are in a pickle we need to take a colony from Commanders Martinez’s realm, even if it is just for a short while to make sure our cascading void comes through.

Salvation comes from the southern seas where Flammz has been in skirmishes with Martinez without success so far until an army around the flying ace Commander Adam Shepherd performs what must be the most daredevil sting operation Stardust has ever seen and in one sweeping blow takes the City of Vivil defying the Anti-Air measures including the synthesis boosted turrets.

Commandershepherd.png

We might, be willing to bankroll a blockbuster around this attack when this is over! Commander Shepherds attacks on Vivil is the stuff of legends.
The heroic attack from Shephards Adam and his fighter crew on Vivil and Martinez finally renders Nikki Martinez’s realm into a shape that can be connected to the opening void rift. Now nothing will hinder us to let her and her basilisk sink through reality into an alternative universe where they will no longer pose a threat! We therefore abort our planned attack through Valefors former territory - The protection of our void towers now has the highest priority! We also make sure that Commander Flammz stays in good shape to fight during all of this and send a considerable amount of energy his way each day, Shepherds Raid on Vivil alone proves he is worth every penny!

With these hopeful news that Stardust might soon be under the full control of the Ingotts-Flammz alliance I’ll end this transmission and hope to tell you more of our deeds next time

As if she knew what destiny awaits her Martinez goes into overdrive and within days the whole front sees heavy fighting. To our disappointment we are not able to contain her everywhere and especially commander Flammz has heavy losses to mourn as commander Shepherd, the hero of Vivil, together with Flammz whole fleet in the southern seas fall prey to Martinez’s heavy counterattacks.

Burning bright but short - Commander Shepherd dies in the southern seas near Vivil.
A day later Martinez is sacking our small outpost we built on her continent, before it was upgraded to allow relaying troops in to reinforce it.

We take another heavy loss when Flammz army goes too close to our shroud generator near the Chamber of Tranquil Ghosts, which Martinez uses to pounce on him slaughtering them right before our eyes. With Flammz Army obliterated we have to retreat from there again.

notsotranquil.png

The name is nothing but a far off wish - The Chamber of Tranquil Ghosts welcomes a bunch of new ghosts as Flammz is caught off guard and the remaining army has to retreat.
Fortunately some of our troops could escape from the sector and managed to unite with our rebuilt navy. With those we reclaim the waterways again from Martinez pirate ships. We are now attempting to establish a sea blockade to prevent Martinez from crossing the channel into our mainland.

The Ingotts rule the waves again!
But the heaviest fighting occurs in the Gangrene estates again, the same spot that ended Dread Reaprs Reign of terror, as Nikki Martinez launches a full scale attack overwhelming our stationed troops, but in a counterattack led by Commander Flammz himself the combined forces of Promethean fire and Voidtech overcome Martinez's electronic toys and the Gangrene estates are reclaimed.

Gangreneholds.png

Once again the Gangrene estates become the center of heavy fighting as Martinez tries to overwhelm our northern holdings - But in vain!
With all her flurry of attacks all over Stardust this Martinez has driven Flammz from her southern border, cleared our small outpost in her north and with the Chamber of the Tranquil Ghosts she controls a sector just across the channel close to one of our Voidtowers. Her army is also bringing up bad memories of Dreadreapr, she too relies heavily on those cursed gunships.

badmemories.png

Taking a page out of Dreadreaprs playbook – Martinez’s Gunship armada across the channel. We think we'll declare the Chamber of tranquil ghosts a Gunship free zone in the future...

But we weren’t idle either and after several failed attempts to infiltrate Martinez’s operation center and disrupt her defensive operations in Asterber we finally succeeded and gained access to her operation center where we quickly managed to shut down her sensors and just now even her relay operations. This will hopefully slow her reinforcements down considerably! With all her military might Nikki Martinez has battered and bruised our forces, but our defenses have not been breached yet! - All Vaults are still intact and with each day that passes her shift through the void draws closer!

These aggressive attacks must be a strain also on her energy reserves – we wonder how long she could trade blows against us like this.

Our riches will only grow after this war! Buy Ingotts bonds now (and pay in cosmite please)

35th Status report: Time is on our side (we force it to!)
After retaking control of Gangrene estates Commander Flammz and I press on - if we can reach Asterber we might just be able to guard the Teleporter and with her relay stations blocked and the teleporter occupied Commander Martinez’s only way would be to cross the channel the old fashioned way - by boat or plane which would give us valuable time ans we are investing heavily in navy. Yet Asterber is heavily guarded by orbital defense uplinks and aerial denial protocols, as we approach a scout of ours spots Martinez herself just waiting to enter the teleporter to jump on us, we have to retreat! Alas we are not fast enough and are caught off guard. Our troops support commander Flammz valiantly but the basilisk-driven madwomen knows no mercy and extinguishes every Dvar and Vanguard opposing her, not even Commander Flammz can stand up to the wicked ways of the Synthesis and is now recuperating.

Yet another loss to mourn caused by unregulated AI deployed by Commander Martinez.

This is an expensive loss and adds to the many warcrimes of the Synthesis deployed killer robots -but the greater danger lies in Martinez airforce that is going to cross the channel. Fortunately our advances in voidtech pay off yet again as our R&D department manages to create a time anomaly trapping some of the Gunships and leaving them unable to progress. Martinez’s airforce will have to wait or split – They decide to split, their Basilisk must have somehow calculated that we are drawing ever closer to finish the dimensional cascade locking Martinez and her Basilisk into another dimension. But even halfed this air force is dangerously armed and sturdy!

dangernikki.png

Left: Locking part of Nikkis airforce in a time anomaly, Right the Heavy gunship still disgustingly dangerous even after being destabilized by a direct hit from a localized void rift.
When they enter the channel they are immediately intercepted by our always watchfull navy guarding this waterway

mayday.png

Our Navy confronts Nikkis airforce in the channel and without much success, but at least we are significantly thinning her numbers.

These losses hurt, but they also bought us time, Nikkis airforce is split and their numbers are diminished. They will not be able to breach our defenses separately and Nikki herself is well away from our Voidtowers. Within the shroud projection of Rastinber, south of the Gangrene estates, we are organizing the defense in case Nikki dares to attack the Gangrene estates yet again. We must only hold a little longer and Stardust will become part of the Ingotts Consortium!

Sincerely yours

36th Status report: For whom the void calls
Nikkis scattered airforce keeps pushing but is interecepted by myself – it is a short and brutal fight, in our waters with orbital support from our air denial system we make them pay for every Ingott ship they sunk and every Ingott employee they killed!
navalrevenge.png

We lead by example and kick Nikkis Gun ships out of our waters - None shall breach our vaults!

In the north Nikki tries to push again into the Gangrene estates, she should have learned by now… Together with the troops of Commander Flammz we avenge Commander Flammz and the fallen heroes the were killed by her, but thsi time she is not fighting within range of Asterbers defense uplinks, but instead within range of Rastinber – Her army is hit by a ground torpedo we launched as defensive measure before Commander Flammz troops lead the charge taking vengeance for their fallen commander.

intothevoid.png

With the help of Commander Flammz we send Nikki Martinez to the void - this time for good (we hope)

The killer robots of Commander Martinez are destroyed once again yet this time we are finally ready and as we Commander Martinez is sent into the void by Flammz PyrX fires the dimensional cascade is finally over its tipping point shifting Martinez and her basilisk into an alternate dimension, when she returns from the void it will not be the same as before, we wonde rhow long it will take her to figure out that she and her basilisk have been shifted out of our reality. We mastered advanced voidtech and Stardust can finally become part of the Ingotts consortium we think we’ll propose to make it a main vault for energy storage, our voidtech vaults will be nye impossible to penetrate for all too taxing eyes.

triumph.png

Finally we can start working on important matters - Vaults that can't be found by taxcollectors - Send your energy to Stadusts Voidvaults!

There are no more obstacles to our exploitation of Stardust
This was a great success for the Ingotts consortium
