first i dont use cheats and play on AoD 1.05 + IC Rev. 2
but I dont know how the sino-japan war is supposed to be in IC but i got totally smashed as nat china around 3/4 year after the DoW. In normal AoD i had success with nat china but now its just impossible.
i play on normal/normal with little bit ai cheating (maybe without cheating it is possible)
the commis were no match and get steamrolled by me, but there was no event for winning the civil war and youself must reduce the dissent hit by the civil war event...
furthermore i switched to facist and joned the axis to ensure the agreements event but soon as japan DoWed me they got the "end all agreements" so the IC boost was no more... that is pretty silly with the fact of a sino-german axis, the agreement should continue if nat china is in the axis or doing well in the war and especially when germany dont interact with japan.
once i got an event that proves good relationsship with germany because of the same view, i thought that will ensure the assistance of the germans but nothing happened, only help was of some luftwaffe aircrafts but they are somekind of useless unless you research a lot of doctrine and aircraft techs.
and without the prepare to war event for china, the victory in this war is further impossible cause you dont have the time and ic for the guangxi war, it looks like this war is not really event depended as in normal AoD, that sucks somehow ;)

nether the less i enjoy IC very much and my game as germany was much fun, at least until the great patriotic war event of the soviets fired and i got crsuhed, not in seconds but steady... but this was on rev 1
its quite cool that the soviets first get really steamrolled and than strike back, but i think the event gives them too much in fact that they will have a lot of more divisions

Hi warped (I like to warp unit with toss in sc2)

Nice to have a feed back for a party I was looking for. I have a few questions:
- What did u do starting 33?
I ask because I made a game as Nationalist Chine with the mod 33 v1.5 on Arma before. And it went quite well, Starting 33 I started conquering all the warlords territory. With claims it gives a serious boost (u were also recovering some techteams in that mod). Once all China but Mandchourie and Japan was under my control, I garrisoned each beach with 3 garrisons (artillery, AA, genie) and built level 3 coastal fortress. When the Japanese declared the war I conquered and release Korea in 1 year. To defend against amphibious assault, the garrisons were not strong enough so I had 3 group of Cavalries to quickly defend were it was needed. They never pass. Then I conquer a bigger chunk of USSR than Germany. I did not join any alliances though, just made mine with Siam and some South American countries for whom I raged war a little (Venezuela for the oil, Bolivia cause they have many claims...). Later on I allied Persia so that I had really much oil.
To make it brief, a nice performance that I did not pursue further for several reasons ( related to mod 33 or the coming of AoD on the market).

Now I understand the dynamic is completely different on AoD + IC (time of construction of coastal fortresses for instance) but still, a powerful China is at hand I believe starting in 33.

EDIT: Yes, with AoD you get a double digging bonus to protect against the amphibious assault, considerable.

my coast defense worked well, somekind, used my puppet divisons on some beaches, that was critical sometimes, but especially in southern china japan was doing worst on amphibious landings, i have at least one divison from me on every beach with engineer brigade for double dug-in, but japan is much too overpowered in aod + ic , it would really interesting do know how it works on arma.
i didnt kill all warlords and used the guangxi event to end the war, it was close to marco polo event and it says, that the other warlords would be pissed if i continue the war^^
the warlords are crap anyway, only guangxi has serious balls

next i will try nat. spain until the sini-japan war is fixed or revised

Yeah the warlords are far to weak that is why I started annexing them one by one from 1933.

Waiting for your feedback I started a game as Japan where the idea was to annex Australia and New Zealand in 33 before tackling the Netherlands. Mid 34 and both Australia and New Zealand felt, Netherlands are next. TC and TP range were both an issue and thus my sciences are quite oriented to increase the range of the TP (which I notice to late when planning to invade the Netherlands first from Taiwan) and then dispersion of the supply with all the garrisons to sustain in the islands.

I hope my plan will not prevent a good China campaign. Hopefully mid-34 I can switch back to prepare mountain division and maybe a few tanks to blitz the first plains, I do not know yet what is my exact plan. Maybe bombardment support would be great also.
