Hi,

Let us start by saying that this mod has been extensively tested on all windows and linux platforms and it works consistently and reliably on all such platforms. However we realize some new players suffer from issues, especially on how to get the game started for the first time! Let us help.
Please try the following solutions first:
1. Make sure you have the latest version of vanilla and the mod (Currently 1.9.1 and NHV
1712 f9ced3, respectably).
2. Make sure you have disabled all other mods with the exception of the official STNH main
mod, the content sub-mod and no more than ONE of our official Star Trek UI mods.
3. Do not try to activate any other mods, even mods that used to work with STNH, up and
including UI mods.
4. Do not try to activate more than one Star Trek UI mods.
5. Make sure you have disabled all custom empires – you can do this via vanilla setup if
needed.
6. If you are using MAC OS – turn down your graphics setting to a minimum.
7. If you are using more than two graphics cards, deactivate SLI profile.
8. If you are using AMD vega GPU’s or other graphic cards, update your graphics drivers and
try to start the game with the -opengl prefix. You can do this via Steam launch options.
9. Make sure you are not trying to play an old save from before a major update. We are
currently at Victory is Life version of the mod – older saves will not work.

The list above fixes around 90% of all issues. If issues persist, please do a complete reinstall of the game, taking all the following steps, exactly:

1. From your Steam profile, unsubscribe manually from ALL Stellaris mods.
2. Uninstall the game.
3. Manually delete all three folders related to Stellaris (backup savegames)
- \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\
- \Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\281990\
- \Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stellaris\
4. Reinstall the game and make sure it works, with the correct current version.
5. Install the main mod and the sub-content sub-mod – and NO other mod, at all (up and
including UI mods).

If the game still does not run, please contact us at our bug report channel on Discord.

The bugs that i currently see:

- Borg cloth for the Rakhari Free State Female
- Events to not use default option and vanish. instead a submenu is choosen, but no option there is choosen and the default auto-choice setting is resettet. (e.g. Federation Council)
- Error messages when scientist, admiral etc. are supposed to gain skills

Romulan Bug - Current released version of the mod as of 23/12/2016
- Engineering research ran out in the first 10 years. There are no further researchables, but my society and physics are still have options.
- Romulans can't build tier 5 shipyard after researching the relevant tech.

I think i heared something about: basic physic researches are needed for engineering to continune. Try research more basic physics stuff and see if engineering continues then.

Great mod btw. The bridge module has no icon in the ship designer and it's not possible to add it to a ship. Also pulse cannon 3 is weaker than tier 2 version.

yeah i checked the icons, u are sure. the icons are in production current. walshicus did round about 1000 new icons for our mod, so awesome. we patch over the time these which are finished. the other needs a bit more time.

that u cant place the module to ur ship...that need a checkup. thx to reporting that.

was it a normal gameplay or a `research_techtree` console order?

Normal gameplay. It also don't show the "icon is missing", it's just black.
I also started a new game today. After creating the federation I wanted one of my vassals to join the federation. So I choose the option in the federation event that every two years appear. After I chosen it one time, every time I tried it again it said that we don't have enough resourses. I think I've tried it 10 times. So I release my vassal and wanted to try it with one of the coalition members or an other vassal. But when the event appears the next time, I'm not able to select an other empire or vassal. There is no option anymore for expanding the federation. I play further to see if it appears the next time, but no, it's gone.

Gerade gesehen dass ich hier ja im deutschen Forum bin. Also dass mit dem Brückenmodul hat sich erledigt. Ich habs nochmal probiert und man kann es im Shipdesigner ausrüsten, nur da es eben schwarz ist sieht man nicht dass man es angeklickt hat.
Bezüglich der Erweiterung der Föderation würde ich noch die Option einbauen dass man bereits gestartete Verhandlungen abbrechen und jemand anderes auswählen kann.

Romulans can not enable slavery. This runs counter intuitive to them starting with decadence and having the Remun's as a readily available slave race.

Ich weiß nicht ob es so sein soll, noch nicht fertig ist oder der Fehler bei mir liegt, aber das Förderationsratsevent hat bei mir keine Beschriftungen. Die Wahlmöglichkeiten sind auch nur mit Zeichenfolgen beschriftet, weswegen ich meist einfach nur auf gut Glück alles drücken kann und hoffen das ich eine funktionierende Endoption finde.

If it helps, I just got my engineering tech tree back in my multiplayer game.

The lack of engineering tree was from about game year 2175 then lasted until 2309.01.01

I think you are definitely right with it being the balance of tech tree. When I reached 2301.04, I believe the time was. I rejoiced because for the months of that year I got 2 engineering techs to research. Naturally with all the engineering points saved up this vanished very quickly :D and I ended up with no research again.

But along came 2309.01.01 and my engineering tree came back in full. I think I researched a vanilla tech in physics or society which caused this.

Naturally with all the engineering points saved up this vanished very quickly :D and I ended up with no research again.

But along came 2309.01.01 and my engineering tree came back in full. I think I researched a vanilla tech in physics or society which caused this.

yeah we have lot of interpedentant technologies from other tech areas. this will chnage drastically with the completely new techtree in 0.9.

Einige Bugs die ich gefunden habe: (Ich spiele Klingonen auf Englisch)
  • Torpedomodul hat kein Symbol
  • 2 leere Research Nodes (Nano Vitality Crops und Mass Deassimilisation)
  • Vielen Nodes fehlt die Beschreibung (es zeigt den systemnamen des Textes an) könnte am Englischen liegen
  • Terraforming schein gar nicht zu gehen (Es zeigt an: Missing: Does not have! ) Dann kommt aber nichts
  • 2351 und noch kein Anzeichen der Borg (hab die ganze Galaxis durchsucht)
  • Beim Modifizieren von Spezies fehlen auch noch Texte (H Class Preference z.B.)
  • Es sagt : "Station complete" auch wenn man am Boden Gebäude abschliesst
  • Unter der Flotte werden nur Korvetten angezeigt (Mit diesen quadraten) Alle anderen sind nicht sichtbar

ja die descriptions und die icons sind ne menge arbeit, wir wollten natuerlich das ihr mir mod trotzdem spielen koennt und haben die mehreren tausend icons nun ueber die letzten monate nach und nach in die mod gepatched. genau so verhaelt es sich auch mit allen notizen und texten.

die borg koennen vernichtet werden. das kommt gelegentlich vor.

der sound der dort abgespielt wird ist auch in vanilla das gleiche...glaube ich, das ist 6 monate her als wir das machten. muss nochmal rein schaun.
