SSI and the GG vs Steam fisaco.

We were previously told that we could just load saves made in the GG version of CKII into the Steam copy of CKII. Now will any of the DLCs be needed to make this work?

Will our country's shields be different from what we knew if we don't repurchase the Dynasty Shield Packs?

If the Aztecs showed up in our saves will there be an issue if we load up that game the Steam copy that does not have SSI?

What about Republics, or The Old Gods (Will Reformed Pagans carry over w/o the TOG addon on my Steam copy)?

I found out too late to switch over my preorder to GG to fix this wonderful issue. (Sadface)

Point one and two ARE valid - as far as we know Aztecs are not converted properly without the DLC and the shields would be changed because of the lack of them. The rest, though...nah. Those are in the base game too - you just can't play as them.

So, most likely $1.99x3(DS1-3) + $4.99(SSI) for access at 9amEST today vs $9.99 and waiting until you can buy the converter separately.

We might be able to circumvent the $4.99(SSI) with modifying the converter script.
