I know a bit.

Their capital was at Palembang, and that was an extremely important centre of trade. They had good relations with China, and extended their power over Java and the Malay peninsula.
They were Buddhist (Hindu?? - not sure), and their first fall came when some Javans torched Palembang in the 9th (not sure) century. They recovered, but were ultimately beaten by the Hindu Majapahits of Java in 1200 or something.
They had sent a diplomat to China asking for vassalisation (to save them from the Javans0, and the Chinese agreed, thinking the situation the same until some diplomats were killed by Javans. Thus ended Sri Vijaya.

Their monatch fled to Singapore, then to Melaka: Voila! Melaka was formed, and tried to mirror the greatness of Sri Vijaya. Sri Vijaya was so respected that Melaka was respected as much, for they were related from Sri Vijaya.

Hey thanks :) ,

I was actually looking for something not easily found though. For example, do you know a list of their kings or Maharajas?

This is a legend I'd heard to describe the size of Palembang during Sri Vijaya's time - that a cat leaping from roof to roof for a month will not be able to finish all the houses in the city.

Well, I know the name of the first king of Melaka, but it slips my mind at the moment. He was the last Sri Vijayan king, wasn't he?

I think that it was the Sailendra dynasty, or something.

What avatar were you expecting? Myself, I was not expecting anything since I don't think they used flags then.

As far as I know Parameswara was not a king. In fact, some historians believe he's not really a direct descendant of the Palembang royal house and only married into it. This was because of his name, which if I remember correctly is a title for somebody who had married above himself or something.

The Sailendra dynasty of west Java married into Sri Vijaya's royal house, yes. In the later stages of the empire, power went to the Jambi/Malayu house though instead of the Palembang one.

Well, I saw on a website a historical flag of Melaka (well it said historical) and it was somewhat similar to the malaysian flag, but not so many red and white stripes.
I was expecting that in some ways.

Is this the one? This is the flag of the modern Malacca state and certainly not historical.

Dimwit , i got EU2 already and i plan to do an AAR of a maritime Sea nation or a khanate like Chagatai.

Sri Vijaya was Hindu and it was 'Hinduized' by Chola Tamil traders who came there. One of its famous commanders or minister is Gajah Mada, who , made Sri Vijaya respected in a sense.

Ahh, wait... You live in Singapore right? Is EU2 out in the stores there??

Plus, why not do Melaka instead? Or another SE Asian country?

I thought Chagatai dead by 1419, as Timur conquered it?

Gajah Mada was the prime minister of Majapahit. These two empires were rivals.
