It's a graphic error (d'uh, I'm betting you knew that). Something todo with your graphic driver IIRC.

It happans to me sometimes when I have pressed alt-tab and go back to the game.

yeah, while the campaign was loading (and i was afk) the PC alt + tab'd itself and upon reopening the window, my counters were all squashed.

It was pretty funny looking, all pudgy and such
