So,i thinking of start a game as Korchev and try to form Kingdom of Taurica. But before that i need to know how to spread my culture to those cuman provinces.I played as Kingdom of Alania recently about 200 years and the Alan culture didn't spread anywere else,i had taken Georgia and little of the cumans.

Does anyone know how to do it?

And i'm curious, how did a russian guy end up in korchev anyway`?

Convert provinces to your religion, all holdings should be managed by people of your culture. Then just wait... maximally around 100 years.

The basic thing to remember with normal cultural spread(through borders) is that the person holding the county title has high stewardship.

The MTTH of 100 years, is more of a percentage chance to happen modifier and had nothing to do with when the event will trigger. I have seen the event take a couple of years and even > 100 years to trigger.

This is why you should always appoint high stewardship counts/dukes, not only can they dominate the whole duchy, but the high stewardship (think max that helps is 13) will have them raise stewardship sons and get more taxes/be more likely to spread culture. Also they aren't warriors so their rebellions are easier to put down.

when dealing with an island it might be wise to move your capital there untill the province culture flips through the settlers event which requires:

the owner has your culture
the province has your culture as conquest culture
the owner has high stewardship (maxes out at 13).

in my current Navarra game I inherited Connacht and then fabricated a claim on Thomond which became capital to my 19 stewardship ruler and it flipped to Basque in 3 years (even though the mean time to happen was 100 years reduced to 75 years thanks to my stewardship)

I roleplay this in my mind as refugees following the king due to the growing threat of the Muslims.
