Spoilers seem to Double up

I use spoilers to organize my Inkwell, and of course use them for spoilers, however I seemed to have run into a issue with them lately. In my Inkwell, the spoilers seem to be splitting into two, rather than being one spoiler all together. That really bothers me, because I do not wish to have one spoiler with a link, then another with the description, through it is only appearing to be a one time thing for me If someone would kindly help me fix the problem, I would forever be grateful. Through thank you, if I haven't already in the future. And if you are wondering where the problem lies, just go to my Inkwell, in my signature and look at it, if that helps, through it may just be a issue when I load the page; I really am not sure what causes it.

It seems like you've some how baked in two SPOILERS in the code. Remove one and it should solve it. If this keeps happening though, please let me know, not sure what the issue could be as I've never encountered it myself but I can get it looked into.

Yeah oddly I can't get rid of the issue, no matter what I have done, it seems everytime I put the spoiler back in, it just doubles up again.

UPDATE: Quite odd, I experienced the same issue! I think it has to do with the coding though I'm very unsure of why. I did some editing for you and I think I sorted it.

Thank you my good sir, for helping me with the issue. Yet everytime I try to update the post, the Italian spoiler in the second section seems to be duplicating, odd but I can bear with deleting the extra text for now, but if it becomes a much larger issue, where multiple spoilers begin doing it, then I shall inform you.

It's a very very longstanding issue; it crops up from time to time when you edit posts with spoilers and sometimes also posts with urls. And especially if you by mistake had an improperly closed tag, i.e. the software autoclosed it, multiple redundant tag sets will be generated at the end of the post.

(By very very longstanding I mean that it's been here since the migration and that I mentioned it already then, but apparently a solution couldn't be found (or it wasn't of priority).)

I my experience using the plain text editor helps with getting rid of the problem.

I actually think it's a problem for all tags, although some are more prone to break than others, though the only ones I was 100% certain of were spoiler and url---hence why I mentioned those specifically.

Also I've experienced on very rare occasions that just fixing the tags in the code editor wasn't enough. You actually had to clear all text, save some non code, and then insert the code again (which you had fixed outside the browser). Though as mentioned that's very rare.

Also while I remember it a big problem with the rich text editor is that it automatically parses code when editing---that can give quite a lot of headaches when you want to correct some tags (and is the reason I uses the code editor by default). Can't remember if it also autoparses when writing the post the first time.

I found one way to get around the issue, where the spoilers split up is by taking the link, and image (if there is one) out, then save it, then edit again, and put the links, and images back in the spoiler. However, one issue I still am facing is that the code for the spoiler is still multiplying, and seemingly this glitch has now affected both of my spoilers in my Ink well, so I have to remove the extra text from each every time I edit it. Which of course is very annoying, so I hope that somebody, does find a fix to the issue, as I hate having to do that every time.

Try coding the tags instead of using the buttons of the rich text editor. I.e. when inserting an image in the spoiler write [img]url[/img]; that's more robust in my experience. Similarly when inserting an url---don't just let the forum autocomplete, since the whole problem is the forum choking in the tags and then spitting out a mess.
