Yes but he produces a lot of them and they are generally worth 5+ bronze rings each. I personally prioritize the recruits that give freebies over the vendors but both are important.

There is basically 3 categories of recruits. Producers, vendors and trainers. You want all the producers, because they provide you with free stuff, including building material. You want as many vendors as you can get, preferably all. You want only trainers you are actually planning to use. And with how limited training is(basically everyone just trains lore or sth), they are not many.

This about sums it up. Especially Lore is important to train, because most other things rise pretty fast (i.e. all combat skills) or at least naturally, or are relatively useless to CNPC:s (Athletics, Subterfuge), whereas Lore is extremely useful for getting the Lore up for anyone that isn't a dedicated spellcaster, such as Verse and Barik, so that they can cast basic spells like Flesh to Stone, Gravegrasp, Spectral Blur, Restoring Touch, etc. I've found Static Charge and Charged Fist to be especially amazing for Verse.

And as a PSA: The basic NPC that comes with the Training Grounds upgrade can train Lore up to 50.

On a random note in a random thread, since we're on the topic of training, and I was forced to do Stalwart first, thus unable to get the Sigil of Fire until soon (when I can finally go to Lethian's Crossing), has anyone come across a trainer capable of training Control Fire? I've been wanting to give Fire Magic to Lantry since forever, since it's also Wits/Vitality, just like Sigil of Life. Since his Lore is astronomical anyway (far above what a dedicated spellcaster PC can reasonably get, apparently) it's not really an issue "wasting" training to give him Control Fire.

You seem pretty informed so I'm half-thinking you mean a reclusive trainer out in the wide world, but if Spires are okay...

Forge: Nikostas
Library: Phila
Library: Puppet (master)

Thanks, man, I don't have the Library or the Forge yet (but I'm about to take the Forge, once I get the Spire at Lethian's Crossing) so that's actually very helpful.
