I have some serious preoblems with EU2
Everytime I start the game it kicks me back to my desktop. It's still shown in the Tab-list but I can't go back to it...
I allready reinstalled it. It's weird beause it happened from one day to another just like that..
And it happened with both versions. NA/German... I guess it's my computer who's calling for attention Hope I can fix it until later

Hmm it looks like a game without the great ottoman empire.....
as you are the source of all unrest ....connection crashes, game crashes, no time etc etc......

My ISP has some technical problems so I have not got a working Internet connection for the moment. The problem has been present the whole day and I have not recieved any information when the problems will be solved. This is of course an unfortunate situation as I probably will not be able to participate in our planned multiplayer game tonight. You can start without me if you wish, I join when I get my connection back.

Hi guys! Reading this thread has been a real thriller! I kept wondering how it would end.
As it seems now you might have started the game but on the other hand you might not we´ll see. If your'e looking for an eigth player I am really interrested in joining you. I have some experience with EU II MP gaming and would like to join as Venice.
I live in Sweden and have a decent computer and ADSL conection. The only prob might be that I have the Scandinavian version of the game or is there only a problem with the German version?
I have no problem with playing most evenings but I know that I will be on holliday between 11 and 18 of October.
I'm looking forward to see the end of this thriller.

I would love to play EU in Multiplayer, but I never seem to find opponents, so I'd really like to join your game. Since there already seem to be eight players, it would be ok with me to be an occasional "substitute" player (i.e. I could play smaller countries like Denmark, Genoa or Persia if you don't have eight players gathered).

Okay guys, I think I fixed my problem. I had the GUFSM so I did a reinstall, and it should be fine now. (BTW is Sweden doing good?)

I think there're stiull free slots. We played with only 4 people today since nelly couldnt join and archduke/bjering have ISP problems.
I think there's not gonna be a problem with joining at all.
So if you guys don't mind that the game has already started for 10years i thuink we can handle it somehow.
Just leave your ICQ so we can contact you. Next time we'll probably play sunday 19:00 cet.
But Venice might not be a good choice since Austria already messed them up (Only Venice and their Islands left)<Ottomans will most likely take islands next time....

Meanwhile we suceeded in playing 12 years more or less sucessful. Due to our missing "Speedy"-host Bjering i caused a couple of crashes and had a bad lag which is really a pain with spain.
Welcome to Kealias and Twoflower to our thrillertread or other word....the never-ending-story-tread. I think we will find a place for you...some bad boys among us said Songhai and Benin would fit for you to have some junglewars with knifes,Battletigers,Battlemonkeys and Killersnakes

Laex proposed to restart the game in case of new players. So everybody has a chance in the game. I have no prob with it as we played only 12 years.
The german version does not work well in MP so everbody will need the english version with Patch 1.05 and no modifications.
Meanwhile we are mulicultural 2 swedish, 2 austrian, 3 german, 1 scotish player....hum i forgot one player...how was the name ?....ah yes our island-tiger from canarian island...should be a spanish player then
So now we have no other choice but to write in our bad english although i know that swedish and spanish people are very good in german....isnt it?

Brandenburg ist noch frei? Wunderbar! Wenn ich dann noch sowas wie eine Garantie kriege, dass die Integrität von Reichsgebieten geachtet wird (d.h. dass Österreich, Schweden oder Polen nicht versuchen dürfen, mir im ersten Jahrhundert, wenn ich nicht viel dagegen machen kann, Gebiet abzunehmen), würde ich liebend gern Brandenburg-Preußen übernehmen - das ist mein absolutes Lieblingsland im SP.

Dann wäre es natürlich super, wenn die Gebiete, die Brandenburg erbt (Brandenburg, Magdeburg, Küstrin, Preußen, Memel, Kleve und Hinterpommern) nicht annektiert würden - wenn jemand nicht die Finger davon lassen kann, ist es aber auch nicht so schlimm (ich habe eben nicht mitgespielt).

warum ist brandenburg nicht interessant vor dem 17 jhd? das ist doch erst richtig ne herausforderung lol und ne garantie das ich als österreich dich nicht angreifen soll fällt mir schwer aber nicht unmöglich

Brandenburg ist eine Herausforderung, das ist wahr, aber viel machen können werde ich im MP eher nicht, bevor ich Kleve und Preußen gekriegt habe - es wird sicherlich nicht toleriert werden, wenn ich anfange mich durchs HRE zu annektieren, und wenn die anderen Spieler mich deswegen angreifen, habe ich keine Chancen, alle anderen Spielernationen sind bedeutend stärker als ich. Trotzdem macht es sicher Spaß (und ein bisschen Gebietserweiterung werdet ihr der mit Abstand schwächsten Spielernation doch nachsehen, oder? )

@dragon spielen wirst du auf jeden fall so gehts nicht ich hab beide versionen ja auch auf einer festplatte und bei mit hauts hin also das es da probl gibt glaub ich nicht so sehr solltest auf jeden fall mitspielen und dran beleiben wird schon irgendwie gehen du hattest doch mal testgames mit anderen spielern gehabt wie liefen die denn wenn gut na dann gibts zwischen uns vielleicht irgendwelche verbindungsprobleme glaub ich zwar nicht aber na ja
