Spell-check on all CK, db/events

Well apparently I had nothing to do So i spell checked all the events in the game. I ignored the horrid mutations of the coding language mistakes and concentrated on the event texts themselves still it took me a while..

here are the results:

that must have taken a while. you are a better man than i. it's surprising how when you do come across incorrect spelling it kind of takes you out of the game. thanks for the hard work

2-3 hours I think. But after the first i think it started becoming mechanical so the work went easier

You are right about the spelling.. funny thing some errors I never noticed myself while playing :wacko:

Not to burst your bubble, but the comments in the event files are quickie first-shot deals that get spell-checked after going into the actual event files and have subsequently been fixed. I'm surprised that there aren't 1000's more.

Any spelling/grammar errors in the actual variable tags (like "knowledged") are there because Swedish programmers picked the variable name when writing the code and once it's embedded it's a pain in the ass (and not required) to fix it all later.

Sorry...the one's you've found won't get fixed in the event files.

IIRC Cat Lord wrote those so the best solution would be to use Babelfish to translate it to his native French, and then try to figure out what the heck he's trying to say. TO be honest, I haven't the faintest idea.

I would assume that Swenglish (Swedish programmer attempting to find an English word) for "prerogative"...or a typo.

I guess the french word would be "dépensier", meaning someone who easily spends his money away but I have no idea what the english word should be.

EDIT: It would rather be from "dispendieux", which means very expensive. So wanting something "dispendieux" makes you "dépensier".

Obviously you have an american dictionary, all these are perfectly good UK english...

Use UK English spelling please.
