but surely, light infantry should be much easier / quicker to recruit than knights, right?
AFAIK all kinds of units are recruited at the same speed. The difference is in upkeep (4,5gd - 100 knights, 1gd - light infantry). Is this correct? I think it does - parameters influencing army composition make for it.RogueTrader said:but surely, light infantry should be much easier / quicker to recruit than knights, right?
The steward thing is pretty annoying actually - I've clicked on the message, gone to assign a new steward and lost 100s of troops because of time passing whilst I was in the court screen (presumably something it checks for at the start of a month). The only way to definitely avoid it is to press pause before okaying the message. I do think when your steward, chancellor etc dies the ok button should take you straight to the court and not unpause until you click away from it.RedScarlet said:iirc there is a % loss when you disband even on your own demesne.
as for the army recruitment. i find that if you have a good steward rating you have a better chance to recruit bigger armies. i accidentally found out when i forgot to assign a steward. my province making 500 knights became 200 knights in 1 month O_O; bah. make sure you have a good martial and steward rating i guess. also, it depends on what province you have. ie: rich or poor.
