If you could make an analogy or describe, hypothetically, in real life
what would be the difference in troop quality between the following:
a) Troop with 110 % disciple and 3.0 morale
b) Troop with 95% disciple and 7.0 morale
c) Troop with 130 % disciple and 10.6 morale
:ninja:
a.) Army that is well equipped and organized. But has no internal unit cohesion. If they fight a weaker enemy, they will perform as expected. If they sustain huge casualties, their quality will decrease. Its a "first strike" blizkrieg army. Hence Germany WW2. If you survive the first assault, and you have ground to give, youll win eventually.
b.) Army that is neither well equipped nor organized, but an army that is fighting for a cause. Think of any small country invaded by a larger country. If you think that someone is coming to burn down your home, youll fight, cause you cant afford to lose. Even if you cant match the enemy's quality, youll fight like a lion and make up for it. An enemy that is backed against the wall and has no room to retreat will fight tenaciously. Scots in Brave Heart perhaps?
c.) A well organized army that has an established and proven leadership, a clear and realistic set of goals. Basically what Sun Tsu means by "if you know yourself and your enemy, you need not fear the result of any battle". I dunno, Nappy's Frenchies maybe? Someone who goes out in the field, seeks out the battle and wins.
