You are better off in this forum to keep your deepest feelings, of dislike or hatred to yourself because others will not tolerate it. Just try and be a little more reserved, that's all. But I think you know that now. Peace.

Wise words there, I think maybe more people shoudl read and take heed of them.

Just to throw my pennies worth here. I think the SAS and SBS are the greatest but in part that is a bit of national pride kicking in here. I see much being said of about US special forces. I do not much about Delta Force apart from the movie with Chuck Norris. The movie rocked and I recommend you all go and see it. Ok seriously the US army had a real problem with Delta Force they knew they wanted special forces but were never quite sure exactly what they wanted them for. So the real problem Delta Force has is they had some highly trained well equiped soldiers but kept changing their mind over exactly what kind of missions they should be trianing for. This makes not quite as good as they could of been in my amatuer opinion. (that information is a few years out of date and this may have changed now) The Navy Seals are different, from expierence gained in World War II, Vietnam etc. the Navy had a very clear idea exactly what missions they need special forces for. The US Navy Seals are troops of the very highest caliber. Although never as good as the SAS but hell thats me talking here. ;)

The most famopus one has to be the stroming of the Irian Embassey in 1982. It was live on TV and was pretty cool. The next most famous outing has to be the Gulf war, there was the Bravo Two Zero mission (now a film and several books) and also others. It was the usual mission types. Mainly recon and spotting. The SAS I believe were used to help in the targetting of Scuds. They were involved in Bosnia, Kosov and Falklands again recon missions mainly. In Falklands they also laurched several raids including the attack on the Radar staion at Pebble Island (Which was very dangerous thing). They are currently out in Afghanistan doing there usual routine of socuting adn shooting. The SAS ahve a rather long association with Northern Ireland. With numerous missions there. They have seen service in jsut about every one of the decolonisation wars, from Malaya to Kenya. They are rumours to have helped America down in Colombia although people are still tighted lipped about that one. this is pretty general, do you want me to be more specific?
