King Mindaugas peeked into the window. The city was a riot of colours: green posters of LNU and blue ones of the CDP riddled the walls, roofs and lampposts - the country was ill with politics, it seemed.

- Your Majesty, could you please pay attention, this is an emergency - said the Foreign Minister, fidgetting on his chair.
- What can be more unnerving that these elections, minister?
- The Ottoman Empire is no more, Your Majesty.

Mindaugas looked startled.
- Come again?
- Turkish Anarchists fragged their Sultan!
- When?
- Three days ago! The Grand Vizier, Mehmed Cavid Pasha has gone missing, and Persian Syndicalists entered Iraq!
- I don't get it, minister! Once again, slower and be detailed, please.

Smetona interrupted the Foreign Minister.
- Your Majesty, the situation is as follows: The Ottoman Sultan granted the Jewish lobby a right to settle in Palestine. Such a decision angered the Palestinian arabs living in the region, and they started a riot, which soon grew into a full-scale revolt in the Arab-populated lands of the Empire. The Arab alliance, that's Egypt, Hejaz and Yemen, declared war on the Ottomans, vowing to defend the Arab folk. Turkish society had differing views on the matter, and riots started in the industrial cities of Turkey too, this time caused by the left. Following a bloodbath in Istanbul, where the Royal infantry shot a workers' procession, violence ensued and Sultan was killed in the mortar fire.

Yesterday, Armenian government proclaimed full independence, but was immediately handed an ultimatum by the Cossacks and refused to join their Caucasus protectrate. Lastly, this morning, Bulgarian forces attacked Turkish border posts and crossed the border.

This means, that poor old Turkey is currently fighting on four fronts at the same time - against the Arabs, against the Persian and Bengali Reds, against the Cossacks in the north and also, apparently, against Bulgaria.

- What is the Mitteleuropean reply to this, uh...matter? - asked Mingdaugas.
- None. Germans refused to send any help or acknowledge the demands of any side. The current Turkey lacks any government, we don't even know who to help. The Germans ordered to reinforce our bases, Crete and Aden and wait to see what happens.
- God, that was completely unexpectable. - sighed the King, - Well, if there's nothing we could do about it, best leave this issue...how is the campaign going?
- Fine, sir. With exceptions of small Syndicalist strikes here and there, everything is in order.
- So is this yelling outside ..."order", mister Smetona? - said Mindaugas, standing up and opening the window.

"Down with the landowners! Down with the police state! Deaaath to the German watchdog Smetona!"
- screamed the red-coloured parade on the street.

- Who the hell are these, then?!
- Uh, Socialists, I presume. - answered Smetona.

A stone broke the window an inch away from the royal face and landed in an ashtray on the table. The King ducked.

- This is my goddamn country, Smetona! Get'em outta here!! - yelled the King, looking at his hand, bloodied by the broken glass.

I downloaded the graphic you use for the parliament, and filled it in in paint.:eek:o

Bloody socialists...
Poor Turks, it seems they're doomed with so many enemies...

Indeed. Stop the march of syndicalism! for the freedom of market and mind, Vote CDP!

I'm sorry, if I remember correctly, it's the current goverment that has forbidden all these syndicate parties. If it were up to you 'free minded' people we would have all those syndicate rioters join parlement.

Obviously the left wing parties can't handle their own supporters and should not be permitted to run in this election anymore!

Far from it! I am suggesting that the Syndicalists' Ideology rots and scaffolds the mind, in a blunt expression of uniformity!
