Spanish civil war ?

My question is can you as any country lets say France wants to help (by sending volunteers or expeditionary forces) Republican?Nationalist Spain can they when the war starts like Germany and SU or do they need to improve relations and stuff.
I'm asking this because i want my troops better trained and test of new tactics before the real war.
I didnt find a similar thread so if there s one sorry

i think you can intervene as democracy aslong as you are not in isolation and the world tension is high enough(not sure about world tension)

Fascist and communist countries have an lower threshold for sending volunteers and/or expeditionaries (only as allies) of course. Democracies can do that aswell, but they have to meet certain requirements in world tension in order to be able to. It also comes down to your policies. An isolationist country wont be able to intervene unless the world tension hits 20%, for example.

It's 50% WT for a democracy/neutral country. So normally they couldn't send volunteers or lend lease to Spain, as WT will not be high enough in 1936. However:

The French Focus Tree has lots of different options.

You can see in the Political part of the tree there are two mutually exclusive options to move to the Left or Right, which then open up options for Republican Intervention or Nationalist Intervention.

Well, those numbers are still being adjusted. The 20% are from the "Undisturbed Isolation" Law, which sets the World Tension thresholds to 20% for joining a faction, 20% to send volunteers, 50% to send lend-lease, 75% to guarantee and 100% to declare a war.

Say- Base being 50%, 20% of it will be 10% or is it straightaway 20% flat?

Why would you play as spain? They are doomed to have a civil war and besides there is no way for them to really expand.

Say- Base being 50%, 20% of it will be 10% or is it straightaway 20% flat?

50 + 20 = 70. The % being a reference to the WT score which varies 0-100.
