We cant have new hoi game without the good old Spanish civil-war cant we?

I would suggestion more sponsors and supporting nations I want to see Portugal giving Franco aid. Mexico did aid Republican Spain. Germany, Italy and USSR can choose moderate or higher level of involvement(without formal war declaration). Even if USA,France or UK want support the republicans private initiative may take place?


If you turn Italy and Germany into communist nations they will aid Republican instead.:ninja:

I don't think anyone is going to get German or Italy communist before the SCW starts...

Perhaps only under the circumstances that a new scenario earlier than the initial 1936 start date would be implanted? For me I think starting in 1936 it might be a little too late to prevent the Civil War from ultimately taking place.

as it is meant to be less history-by-the-numbers i would like to see it avoidable, but id be interested in the feasibility of it being contagious as well

france went through a lot of governments before the war started, if spain has a "revolution" and redesigns itself, who's to say france wouldnt , or portugal ? like a government change but more violent, if , say you are one extreme, and get a massive spike of the other side (espionage usage ?), have an "accept result , change gov" or "contest, possible civil war" outcome ?
and you could scale that from 55/45 result of "lose X% manpower as troops disperse crowds" down to a 90/10% actual country-split war kicking off ?

and tied into this, slightly, assassinate politicians as an active ability ? costly/low chance, but heydrich anyone ? and remove the ministers that are holding a country together ?
