Spanish civil war mechanics

I've read DD about civil wars but still have one big question:
What will happen with accmulated political points/foci/research progress/production when you switch to Nat.Spain?
In HoI3 NatSpain started with zero inhereted progress.
Will you inherit it completely or just completed techs/foci?

For example:
I started as Rep.Spain and researched 70% of tech when SCW start. Will I 'inherit' this progress as Nat.Spain or it will reset to 0?

Not just in Spain. For me Spain is a dark horse in WW2. What if Franco decided to join Hitler? Losing Gibraltar GB would have big problem with Malta and eventually in the whole North Africa.

Likely youll have exactly the same for most aspects (some will be divided like equipment). Itd be rather silly that it matters which side you choose as to whether or not you lose progress, but also note that some things may require you to NOT be at war, and so may be invalidated
