Having a lot of fun in NSB as Soviets but in the new patch I'm having real problems intervening in the Spanish civil war. Previously I'd send my tank divisions, create nice pretty encirclements in areas without the debuff and handily win as whichever major I was intervening with.
Now, however, when I do this as USSR the republicans seem to not have the ability to defend say kind of front or supply line, especially given the layout of the Spanish railway system. Even on the occasions I do make an impact in the south, the nationalists have marched all the way yo Madrid with barely any resistance. I've started to feel like intervening is just throwing away resources, has anyone got any advice on how to approach the intervention?
For reference, currently sending 6 tank divisions under Zhukov after disbanding some of the ones you start with so they are full strength, 100 fighter and tac, and an attache.
