Is it possible for Germany to fully participate in Spanish Civil war in CORE?
meaning DoW Republicans, get Nationalists as allies and fully invade?

What about the Soviet Union? is it possible to the same?

I know it is unrealistic and I won't mind if this is not, doing it in vanilla HOI was some kind of exploit, but just wanted to know, because it is a fun way to get past the boring years of 1936-39

EDIT: with CORE these are less boring years!

As the dictatorships, you can easily just declare war on the Republicans.

As one of the democracies, you can always open the console, type 'acceptall', bring Republican Spain to your alliance and then switch off acceptall again.

Both methods will get you directly involved in the war, though it's more a workaround than an 'event' system.

I try to avoid the cheat console; I only use "nofog", and that just to watch the Spanish Civil War and Jap-China, while doing research/ building and I turn this cheat off afterwards.

Problem with declaring war is that you are too far away to do anything other than harrasing their navy with your longest range units, that unless you get Rep/ Nat on your alliance, and then you can rebase planes and troops.

In vanilla, I used to influence up to 200, and then bringing into alliance was relatively easy... I think this doesn't work now, and since it was an exploit, I am fine with that

thanks

Well, you did ask just about how to get involved in the war. Having an event that did the same thing would have the same effect, and be equally 'cheaty'.

I admit I'd like to see a version like DH has where the player can choose to take military control of the side they're supporting, without allying with them.
