he's Spanisch and he's plain deadly. He had 970 soldiers and was attacked by 30.000 French soldiers. When I had to retreat he still had 970 soldier,

I did a second assault with the same result, after that I prayed to god he wouldn't march to Paris!

the same applied for the Australian horsemen in HOI,

could have been a terrian vegitation combo that provides a huge negative to the attacker along with teh dug-in penilty to the attacker. Attacking forested mountains can really hurt.

Terrain can be ridiculously bad, once some 200 partisans hiding in a mountain province defeated my two 7000 man ARTILLERY divisions, killing one of them!

He doesn't sound too great. Few bonuses at all, apart from morale.

But terrain is often very difficult to handle. Amphibious assaults on garrisoned islands are another difficulty.

he might be random, still he was lucky to kill 60.000 French soldiers without loosing one of their own,
