Hi,
Anyone who has played Castile/Spain in a GC knows that around 1700 your (rather lousy) king Carlos II dies.
You get a scripted historical event, stating that Carlos II has no heirs to the throne, and that both France and Austria had legitemate claims. You get two choices, either become a vassal of France or Austria.
Well, In the previous GC I chose the historical option of France, so I decided to go with Austria this time (I couldn't see the rollover hints with the effects, because I had just requested to build something and the confirmation dialog was up when this event triggered. When this happens, the rollover hints don't show, but that is a different matter). Anyway, I got a huge stability hit (like -8 or so), but luckily no revolts. That must have been a side effect of the confirmation dialog box still open, I guess.
Immediately after that, I got two kings on the same date, first Carlost III, followed immediately by Felipe V. This reminded me of the death date mixup of two French Henry kings
Somehow, I think that one of those kings shouldn't have been activated.
