The Twenty Year Peace

In January we leave the war economy and balance the monthly revenues and costs. Poland pays $212 to Russia for peace. In March we loose to rebels in Magdeburg but win over the rebels in Mantua.
In April the settlers sent to Yanam fails, a storm sunk their ship. Magdeburg falls to rebels. Rebel held Hanover is now back in Spanish control. In May we win over the rebels in Magdeburg and lay siege to the city. We also win over the rebels in Savoie. The King decides that it is time to refuse trade against all other countries for the coming 24 months. Portugal annexes Navarra.
In June we win over the rebels in Bremen. In July we lay siege to rebel controlled Holstein. In August we sent settlers to Yanam. Magdeburg falls to our armies.
In November Persia sign a white peace with Venice. Rebel held Holstein falls. In December we lay siege to rebel held Flandres.

In January the settlers we sent to Yanam fail. We send new settlers to Yanam, Madras and Yarra to expand our presence in Asia. In May Flandres falls. Marie de Medici new queen of France.
In June we renew our Royal Marriage with Spain when the youngest Spanish Princess is wed to the Austrian Crown Prince. On his way back from the wedding, the King also participates at the wedding between his niece and the Prince of Saxony. We are glad to hear that our colony in Madras expands.
In July we suffer a riot in Anhalt. The risk for revolts in our Dutch provinces is now down to 0%. We therefor decide to retake the provinces from the rebels. We hold a day of national mourning as admiral Recalde dies.
In August we finally establish our colony in Yanam. The riot in Anhalt comes to an end when the mighty Spanish armies arrive in the province. We continue our campaign for returning the Dutch provinces to the Spanish Crown by laying siege to Zeeland. In November we suffer a riot in Mantua. Our colony in Yarra expands to a city and we immediately order a fortress in the city.

In January we send settlers to Towoomba and traders to Wollongong, Nandewar, Wagga and Murumbidgee in order to claim the entire continent of Australia. We loose to rebels in Mantua. Rebel held Zeeland falls to Spanish troops.
In February 12000 Tunisians land in the Papal State and lay siege to Emilia. 4000 Algerians land in Romagna and 3000 Teutonic troops land in Rome. All provinces in the Papal State are now under siege, but 6000 fresh recruits in Romagna can throw the Algerians back. Tunisia sinks almost the entire Papal fleet (only two ships remain after the battle). Rebels from Natal attack Transkei but are annihilated.
In March we lay siege to Holland.

We also suffer a riot in Magdeburg. We win over the rebels after 2 weeks and lay siege to the city. In December we win over the rebels in Magdeburg.

In January we suffer a riot in Munster. In February the fortress in Hanover is captured by Spanish troops. We suffer a riot in Hanover again in March. Adirondak expands into a city. We win over the rebels in both Hanover and Munster. In May a settler is sent to Bangor. In June the Spanish scientists make a new fabulous discovery, Naval Tech (20).
In August the colony in Bangor expands successfully. In September the scientists in our German provinces creates a new innovative theory they call infrastructure (6). In October we suffer a riot in Bremen. The German provinces have somewhat disapproved the Spanish rule, but that will change when they learn to know us better.

In January a new CoT opens in the Spanish province Transkei. Ferdinando I of Austria new Emperor. A Manufactury is ordered in Flandres. In February settlers are sent to Kebec and Kerala. In March we suffer a riot in Tyrol. In May the peasants in Florence, Bremen and Bourgogne attack the rightful Spanish rulers. The riots in Bremen and Bourgogne are put down within a few days.
In July we suffer yet another riot in Bremen. A colony is fonded in Kebec. We win over the rebels in Bremen. The settlers sent to Yarra find some minerals they sell to the natives and hand over the profit of $400 to the state. Fortresses are ordered in Transkei, Delaware and Manhattan.
In August we suffer riots in Bremen and Wurttemberg. The settlers we sent to Kerala fail. We win over rebels in Bremen. In September we win over the rebels in Wurtemberg and in October we win over the rebels in Florence.

Er, why haven't you got all that New World gold. It's just lying there waiting for you to take it.
Now I missed that question on Mysore. If you have a colony it's a big bonus. The thing to do is to fortify it to level 3. Build up a reasonably large force with cannon and move them out of the war and then round the advancing Mysore forces to their cities. Normally it's better to clear the land of natives first so you aren't messing around with them. With two colonies and strong enough fortifications, Mysore should be easy enough to conquer with a small stick
Oh and everyone is attacking you because you have been very bad by annexing all those countries.
btw. Russia is going something by annexing Sibir by 1555. I thought they were doing well in my game. Also, are you telling me that the Netherlands are just sitting there control the provinces but not declaring independence. Weird and must be frustrating seeing all those taxes go up in smoke.

You do realise that you can check the fortifications in the province just by clicking on it. Arguably the Iroquois are the hardest of the three to crack.

Well about the aztecs, I just didn't look, i just asumed they were like the Iroquis. One should never asume anything. 400 could be a little hard, remember you have to rush between the provinces to get them and a neet little Indian Army.
That's why when i go after the Aztecs I have a big enough army so I can keep spliting them and still feel resonable secure about beinga albe to hold each province while I keep running around to the others.
Well to be honest, 400 is too small unless you already have attrition of battle hit units with 200 each. The trick is simple.
1 - Built a colony in Tampico.
2 - Station 2000 troops in Saltillo making sure that the Aztec forces are in Zacatecas. Your troops can be split into two but keep a conquistador in charge until you split them or else they'll rot away before you declare war
3 - Declare war and move your units south to Zacatecas and Michoagan. My betting is that the Aztecs will head straight for Tampico and, to mighty celebration, capture your little colony. They should arrive before you but, if you're unsure, move your units after they start marching.
4 - Your two units will arrive in Zacatecas and Michoagan after they have captured Tampico so they will probably still stay there. On capturing Zacatecas, you'll get maps showing the other provinces of Atlixco and Tuxpan and your units should march to each of these immediately.
5 - Their force will probably head back as soon as Zacatecas is captured but since it is mountainous, you'll get the other two first and can annex them in one fell swoop.

Yes, Land Tech 40 was a little joke. But the reason why I set up a colony in Tampico (just level 1) only is that this is a bait to get the Aztecs to attack me while I steal their provinces.
You know that it did give me an idea for a little challenge to see who could conquer the Aztecs with the fewest men. I reckon that it might be possible with just 2 highly trained but to do it with just 1 would be an impressive feat.
Of course, it's all done by guile and there is no fighting although I do recall once getting less that 1000 men caught by 60000 Japanese. They were actually supposed to get caught and lose but astonishingly, the Japanese just ran. Perhaps Cortes with 1 man could then take on the entire Aztec army.

I won over 2000 natives in Siberia the other day with only 47 Cavallery, you can borrow the remaining 22 if you like. They are trapped, but never mind that
