depends on the job. if someone is going to build the spaceship im going to use to get to mars that has to be finished in 6 months, i'd prefer him taking his time, double chekkign everything, not being rushed, rather than someone who manages to finish it very quickly.
like i stated multiple times before, this is an grand strategy game. not an rts. the time you take doing stuff is NOT an factor. heck, if you DONT pause youre just playign worse as you cannot minmax on an day to day basis.
its not like i want to forbid you from playign without pausing. however, foricing that playstyle on everyone because that is your defenition of skill is just stupid. the great majority of people pauses often. im willign to bet that the geat majority of the (objectivly) best players of the game pause a lot and dont rush themselves. there's a guy that did an WC in CKII in 9 years. he paused. A LOT. ddrjake conquered the world with ryuku. he paused. A LOT.
i seriously doubt that, no matter how quick you play, that same feat is possible on constant speed. simplt because there is SO much information you need to check and SO much stuff you have to do. limiting that while paused simply isnt good for the game in any way at all. pausing a lot is simply a part of paradox games. that you want to play it diffrently is your choice, and you are free to do that. but dont force that down everyones throath even though the vast majority likes pausing.
