Hello all.

I know we're able to add a wing of space fighter/bombers to our larger ships as essentially a "weapon" system.
What I was hoping someone could tell me is, can we also add fighter wings to spaceports and/or defensive outposts?
Seems like they would be a great addition to a spaceport. And logically, planets should also be able to house a fighter wing or two.

Have we seen any fighter/bombers in the Blorg stream yet?

Not by human players, but in the bits where they interacted with (PURGED) the Space Amoebas, you could see mini-space amoebas fly around, fighter squadron style. I assume that is also how fighter/bombers will work since researching them unlocks a tech for better fighter squadrons (from what I saw).

It doesn't really make sense for planets to have fighters though, as they'd need oversized thrusters to escape the gravity on the way out and also to survive reentry.

At least according to wiki fighter squadron module can be attached to spaceport.

I understand that the mini space amoebae are more like a living torpedo rather than a fighter or bomber

Some of the enemy battleships had fighter wings. But they always died before they engaged.

At 1:53:00 in yesterday's stream. The QCS Hemberarion has 8 strike crafts.
