If the USSR crushes Germany early do they ever get "feisty" later against the allies? This appears to be happening in my current game as it is 1942 and the Germans never got more than a couple provinces deep past eastern Poland and have already lost a lot of that territory with some areas (and I assume, units) pocketed in the Baltic states.

They do, by event. It usually devolves into a LOOOONG tactical stalemate in a chokepoint where the sov's finally breach the US doomstacks and then rinse and repeat. Ive yet to see a USSR cold war where they win.

Any idea what the events are?

I know from past games when Germany falls the US ends up with an overall tech lead and their navy utterly rules the seas but the USSR has like 3x or more the number of divisions. Of course the US gets nukes, too. And sorry, UK, but usually by then you are stretched to almost breaking and don't make up for the numbers difference.

So it looks like the Soviets have to control one of those spots and then random. Is the random part checked daily/monthly/what?
