Hi guys. I've been trying to play the USSR in the June 1941 scenario and having some real difficulty. Has anyone tried this or have any strategy? In the short term - if left under AI control - my army will quickly be overrun as they won't retreat in time. If I take control, I've had more success pulling most of my troops back behind the rivers for the defensive bonus and to regain organisation.

How would you stop the German advance and, when stopped, what would you prioritise building in terms of units? Would it be best to concentrate on armour or infantry?

it depends if you regained majority of your infantry or not..if you did build armor instead, if majority of infantry was wiped then building infantry is a must-even though they won't
be able to stop german attacks they will drain their mp and org..while building armor is more ic expensive and you won't have as many to cover the huge frontline that fighting
will be going on..
