It would be nice if there were some events giving you cores of all of China. It would certainly make the fight with the West alot easier. But if you do give mao control keep him on a short leash.

If China does get "liberated" I think someone less independent than Mao might be called for.

Who would've ever though that invading France would be a bitch but invading China would be a cakewalk?

Was thinking the same thing myself actually. I thought he was going to steam roll France and spend quite some time in China.

That's one of the ironies. Aparently, the British are the ones getting BLITZKRIEG'd! while the Frenchmen do not surrender one meter without a fight. >_>

Update nr.117

The battle for Europe continues as the French try to push the Red Army
behind the river Meuse. Bulgarian Field Marshal Popov is responsible for the defense
of this vital sector. Losing Namur could mean losing Reims and Antwerp
and i can't let that happen.

namur.jpg

After two days of fierce fighting and the odds slowly turning to the Soviet side
the French abort their attack and retreat to lick their wounds.

n2.jpg

But they are not the only ones licking their wounds.
My brave Bulgarian allies participated in every battle in Belgium
since the start of the war. And now their casualties are
overwhelming their reinforcements.

bulg.jpg

Both Bulgarian tank armies are ordered to retreat behind the front lines
and rest for a month or two. A well deserved vacation, if you ask me.

11va.jpg
6ta.jpg

Few days later French notice the absence of Bulgarian armor and attack Namur again. This time
they roll through the weakened Red Army positions and push the survivors into the river.

Soviet high command orders and immediate counterattack to distract the French and prevent them
from crossing Meuse and advancing deeper into Belgium. Two hours later another attack is ordered in the
Southern part of the front. This should keep the French busy!

vd.jpg

Both attacks are very successful and spread chaos amongst the French soldiers.
Their divisions begin moving up and down, but not to the East. The diversion is a success
and this mock offensive might just turn into a real one.

Red Army is struggling in the Middle East too.

After countless failed attacks on Mosul, Allies change their tactics and turn
their attention to Kirkuk. The battle is eventually won, but i order the Red Army to
abandon Mosul and retreat to their new defensive line behind river Tigris.

kirkuk.jpg

Things get complicated in the South too.

Allies defeat the exhausted Soviet troops in Abadan
and threaten to capture the recently repaired oil wells.
This is a disaster!

abadan123.jpg

da.jpg

But then something interesting happens:

iran1.jpg

The Allies evacuate all their divisions from the pocket in Southern Iran
leaving the last Iranian victory point virtually unprotected.

iran2.jpg

The lone Iranian division is easily defeated and 18 Red Army divisions
are ordered to rush to Southern Iraq. These much needed reinforcements
should be enough to stabilize that front and secure Abadan.

Nice bulgarian army. And the flag is cool too.

Seems like the allies made a big mistake there. Or..?

I didn't read the older upgrades very throughly, are you going to develop nukes?

A satisfying AAR because all the enemies aren't just rolling over and dying.

I am liking this war more and more! A mix of intense and inconclusive combat and steamrolling in many theatres!

It would seem the British dont see the massive potential that China has when unified. That is, if you plan on releasing China. ComChi would be a good ally to have not only for their decent production and unlimited manpower, but because they would relieve you of alot of TC load. But Im sure you know that already. :)

The war in France is really becomming a classic Russian war: grind the enemy down until they dont have the manpower to stand up to an immortal army! Very satisfying to see the enemy so weakened IMO.

To Deutschu~:
I neglected nuclear research for a long time. But recently i reconsidered my research priorities
and employed two teams of crazy scientists to create a doomsday device, capable of crippling the Allies.
Also my first nuclear reactor is under construction and will be finished this year.

To RGB:
Iran is almost mine. All i need to do is prevent the Allies from taking Abadan.

To chefportnen:
Attacking from Italy is a risky business. There are forts and mountains on the French side
and my Balkan allies are low on manpower as it is.

Update nr.118

The Iranian army fought poorly since it was torn apart from the inside.
Many officers and soldiers were pro-Soviet or at least anti-British. After being a British puppet
for the last ten years they are demanding for some changes. But the British are not willing
to give up their oil rich puppet just like that.

iran12.jpg

The Red Army has captured Abadan once more, this time with 15 divisions.
But that doesn't bother the Allies one bit and they push back the Soviets for the second time.
Soon Abadan will turn into a puddle of oil and blood.

iran.jpg

abadan3.jpg

Things in China are calm as always. Red Army is rushing to take up
defensive positions in Burma and Indochina, destroying everything on its way.
This time an unlucky Allied armor division got surrounded in the Chinese mountains.
What was it doing there in the first place?

xianyang.jpg

Allied armies are a rare encounter in China, but huge angry peasant gangs
show up every week. There were five uprisings this month and the worst
had happened in Longyan. Red Army marines were cut-off from their
supply lines and had to spend the entire day without their favorite rice vodka
and canned beets. Those rebels will pay!

partisans1.jpg

And while my marines were busy marching through mountains,
fighting their hunger and local rebels, the regular infantry and Korean
expeditionary forces were doing the amphibious assaults.

Supported by the Red Navy Soviets land in Taiwan. The island is a very important
strategic location, but Allies think differently. They leave only one infantry division
to guard Taipei - a province, that is as valuable as Tokyo [VP wise].

taipei.jpg

Hours later a small Allied fleet is intercepted and sunk. It looks like they were trying to
transport some troops from Okinawa to Taiwan. My battleships will continue roaming the seas
and intercepting their transports until the island is secured or a USN carrier fleet is spotted.
Whatever comes first.

taiwan.jpg

And now some completely unrelated news from the skies above Europe.

The Allied airplanes become a nuisance and are being gradually dealt with.
A lot of tactical bombers from all around the world come to bomb Luxembourg,
but somehow wery few enemy fighters are present.
And i know that they have MANY fighters.
