One does wonder what they'll use if not the HT version. Stick a fasces on the Southern Cross and be done with it?

BTW, I've been trying out your mod a few times over the last month and I'm darned if I can win the Civil War with Dixie... Any tips on what I should be doing? I always seem to get overrun eventually- my best runs have been to about 1864-5, although I lasted to 1866 once... Still, not quite as long as I'd like the Confederancy to last really

Better than a whole bag of circus peanuts, it's the bigger, badder Southern Revolutions mod Version 1.1. What's new, you ask? The first post in this thread has the full details, but here's the short version:

--More historical bugfixes.

--World War I!

--Flavor & VIP events for the CSA.

--New expanded unit names that actually work with the new V:R model numbers.

A couple of tips/requests:

1) The World War I events probably still have some undetected whackiness in them, so it is STRONGLY urged that you save and backup your games in early June 1914. Please report such weirdness to me ASAP through the usual channels.

2) I'm asking--nay, begging--for user suggestions on more flavor events for the CSA. V1.1 covers all the "obvious" ones (I hope), but there's room for plenty more. Please help me fill it!

I dont have V:R yet so I cant look yet but what have you included so far? - and I'll have a think as to some others. Of course it depends how far you want to go (CS intervention in external affairs for example).

A couple of random ideas I had-

Perhaps an alternate take on the washington treaty of 1871 (payment over alabama claims) CS intercedes on UK behalf when US makes claims.. Effects Anglo-CS relations/co-operation?

CS involvement in post WW1 (depending on who US & CS ally with (if at all). Formation of Leauge of nations (Woodrow Wilson!)?

Who knows? Perhaps switch all WW1 beliggerents to anti-military?

I was actually surprised VIP crew had not implemented it already, even if just a flavour event as such with no real effects, which would admittedly be hard...

That'd be a good move.. maybe a post-war disarmament settlement/Washington Treaty style event could massively increase the cost of having units, and could switch AI files to a slightly differing post-war model which emphasises their need to disband stuff or go bankrupt?
