I'll look into it when/if I do another SR update, but there may be nothing to be done. If, say, the UK had a high war exhaustion from a prior war, they are going to quit ahistorically early. Ahistorical results do happen, and they can't all be scripted for. Knowing nothing else about your current game, I can only guess.

Again, I will look at the surrender triggers in any future SR updates, and I do thank you for trying SR and posting!


Heh, well, playing as Germany they may have just surrendered, I wasn't really looking at it carefully. The British surrendering while I was the US may have to do with the fact that UK was at war with France, now that I think about it. Or maybe they just like surrendering to my Central Power coalition.

Well, I was having unrelated glitches with the game, so I uninstalled and am reinstalled the game/mods. So I'll get back to you if I see it again.

All that being said...it's a lot of fun. The possibility of the Confederates breaking out really shakes things up.

Hi. I installed your mod and I love it but I do have a question. I was playing the Civil War as the U.S. (trying a little sabotage to help the South). I saved my progress and tried to start the game again as the CSA but all of the other Great Powers (except the USA) were blocked from use. Does the mod prevent you from using other Great Powers after you start a game or am I doing something wrong? I know that you can switch countries in the vanilla version.

This is usual from what I can remember, you need to right click on the USA flag and choose from there.

I did try that, but I am still unable to choose the CSA or any of the other Great Powers.

Are they among the "choosable" flags? Albeit greyed out? If so you may need to dip into the game save file and edit the tag of who you are playing as.

I don't know if in these two games Britain has somehow managed to fulfil the requirements of surrendering, but I do think its weird that they bow out so quickly. This is especially annoying when you're playing as the US, and are waiting for the events to bring you into the war. Just wanted to see if this was a common problem, or what?


I had this problem during a SR game in which I managed to survive to WWI. It turns out that the UK was in some colonial war with some minor native nation for pretty much the entire game from the 1880s to 1914. Their War Exhaustion, as a consequence, never went down, it only slowly rose. So when WWI broke out, they were eager to accept peace.

Colonial wars are Vicky's bane it seems. If I ever notice it happening again, I would alter the save file or reload as the UK and accept a white peace.

Great work! I bought Revolutions mainly for this mod.

Just a little question: why CSA doesn't have Generals from the start? It become difficult to put in the field some important historical figures without them in the initial pool.

The main problem with implementing this is balance issues--if I give the CSA starting leaders, I have to do the rest of the world as well. My focus right now is on my Crimson Skies mod, so I don't really have the time to make those kind of changes.

No. You can type any number of leadership points you want into the .inc files, but it always reverts to the proper figure (based on the officer POPs) once the game loads.

Is this compatible with the 'More Flags' and the 'More Flags ++' mod?

Not without a little work, no. The various flag event files have to be added to SR's db/events file.
