I missed the post that indicated trouble, but hey, long as it works!
Thanks for trying SR!

Antiledo said:First off, the usual greetings that you've made a great mod.
I'm posting to ask your opinion, CSABadass. Let's say the CSA wins the first civil war and gains some combination of the border states already, ie Kentucky, Missouri, and/or Arizona. Granted that, now the war of Reunion strikes for whatever reason, how far do you think the CSA could push a second victory?
Let's say, how much do you think the USA would give up in a peace deal for a great CSA victory, a marginal CSA victory, and a prolonged stalemate?
Would the "border states" (the ones gained via a CSA victory demanding all border states) be the extent of the states willing to go Southern? Or could the CSA possibly gain more states, probably outside of the northeast though...
I wanted to try playing a second war between CSA and USA and would mod more victory/defeat events. Want to see how far I can push my Dixie luck![]()
Thanks for your opinion!
HMS Enterprize said:^Agreed.
However, Ive always found it odd that there are events in the game for California and Deseret/Utah to join the CSA...what is up with that???
Maryland is probably the only quasi-realistic option baring the already mentioned border states wouldnt you say?
That said, If I was going for some alternate-unlikely history, some California gold would be nice![]()
Antiledo said:Ok, so there are some good points to ponder.
If no other states would join the South, then what would be good terms to dictate to the North assuming a major CSA victory? Indemnities? Some kind of colonial compensation?
I know what the North would push for, annexation/reunionBut what would the CSA push for, either in an aggressive stance or a major victory in a defensive war?
Things could get complicated if the South has European help--just as Mr. Turtledove showed.
Antiledo said:I've not read his alternate civil war books. How does european intervention complicate things? I guess I am asking for the 1 paragraph capsule of his multitude of books![]()

Basically, US gets pissed at CS getting Brit & French help, seeks own euro allies- Germany. You can guess the rest...
Indeed!CSABadass said:Couple of really good PI mods related to the series, too, I hear.![]()
Dallas94Ware said:Great freakin mod man. I actually came to this site praying someone modded the game so that someone playing the CSA was not guaranteed a civil war loss/non-existant post-war economy.
I have made it to 1906 as the CSA now, and after 3 consecutive wars against the Ottomans in protection of Austria(I dubbed them the "Turk Wars"), I've been forced into a badboy war (probably for not satelliting Cuba, Hadz-whatever and Tripoli) against Austria, France and Russia. Suffice it to say I stand no chance of taking the war to them with my 10 transport units and taking on three great powers is an impossible feat for my below average RTS gaming. But the fact I lasted to 1906 as the CSA says it all about this mod.
It works, it's fun, and I had a blast sticking it to the conservative world as the State Capitalists' nation of the CSA.
Antiledo said:Also, is there a Socialist revolution event like the Liberal revolution? And if so, anyone know how to trigger it and if it will get a Socialist party in power?
Thanks!
