During WW2, several South American countries had tanks yet they were almost all the time from other countries. When Peru invaded Ecuador in 1941, they used the Czech version of the Panzer (38)t Ausf. Yet other countries like Brazil had American M3 Stuart tanks, or atleast I think. So how exactly will the South American tank tree be created and will it consist of tanks from all sides of WW2?

I assume they have created some generic names for minor nations, including the South American nations, that can effectively simulate what a war industry might represent. I would assume many of the technologies would be middle-of-the-road tanks that aren't necessarily weak in any areas, but also aren't strong.

The tech tree is for home grown manufacturing not foreign bought designs. Too bad the game doesn't seem like it will model buying tanks or tech from other nations.

I'm thinking FT-17s, Panzer 38 t Ausf, Vickers 6 ton, and etc... Because South American countries didn't really make tanks. I'm going to try and find possible tanks in some archives.

There will be generic names for most minors but some seem to have unique names.

I think Brazil and Argentina made some tanks but by the time they were ready to be used they were obsolete and they could get better/equivalent tanks for free from the US

Can you not licence tanks for production?

We really need mechanics to trade equipment.
Like 1 civilian factory ( one year ) for 500 INF Equipment.

That could work. Or some implementation of in-game money.

But yeah, without arms-trading you're left having to having every country on the map be able to produce weapons, even the ones that were essentially pre-industrial.

Yet if you've seen the WWWs, you'll notice it takes a lot of factories to even pump out enough infantry equipment. Many South American minors like Ecuador will only have one or two military factories and it will take them substantially longer to build divisions.

I think in the Finland WWW vid, we saw a Finnish tank tree with a bunch of generic names in it (Light Tank I and so on), and would expect it'll be the same for the South American minors. +1 for enabling an arms trading system in-game at some stage.
