If you are like me and an indecisive, week willed milksop who can decide weather Constantinople needs more walls(preferably funded by Latins to keep out Latins)or a university to teach them desert hillbillies in Baghdad what real scholarship looks like! Or weather a great (and ostentatious) mosque to Allah's glory in Cordoba that just happens to have 3 more minarets than the biggest Abbasid mosque... Or why worry over them treasonous usurping dogs? Why not relax in the Andalusian sun? Looking over you new and definitely bestest Caliphate from the balcony of your just completed grand Palace?

Well worry no more! Im here to read though paradox's dense coding and lazily cheat in game to test stuff!

is it me, or does Great Wall seem overrall better than fortress? what with several levy upgrades, where the fortress only has a single one?

The reason walls outclass forts its the OP upgrade all holding walls to max upgrade, that increases levy caps across every holding in the province and paired with generic watchtowers for a further 10% the fort cant even begin to compete...

In my experience this doesn't seem to work. I have both Roman Imperial government and construction tech 6, but it doesn't show up.

I've noticed this to but I cant see anything in the code as to why it wont?
Code:
upgrade_automata_throne = { # Automata Throne
    picture = GFX_upgrade_icon_stones
    potential = {
        OR = {
            government = roman_imperial_government

        }
    }

    }

        monthly_character_prestige = 2
    }

Yeah. I checked it too, but it just won't appear for whatever reason.

Roads

I love how the description text talks about "many well connected roads being made in the realm" and yet it amounts to spending hundreds of gold on getting one or two days off in the rare event that your army passes by that exact province.

Yeah. I checked it too, but it just won't appear for whatever reason.

I love how the description text talks about "many well connected roads being made in the realm" and yet it amounts to spending hundreds of gold on getting one or two days off in the rare event that your army passes by that exact province.

Roads are stackable giving a possible +0.8 speed boost but it still is only one province. I cant see it being feasible to spam wonders to create a road network.

The great garden roadways of the roman empire :p

Thank you soo soo much for this, I've been waiting for this! Some quick observations: Harbour>Lighthouse, Great Wall>Fortress, and the Automata Throne for the Byzantines is pretty sweet. I wonder if it comes with events that highlight the musical birds and the moving throne.

Wait: So does the amphitheatre not have any special add-on features?

Edit 2: Also, did you make a mistake with the University? I think it's supposed to be +1 attribute not tech points, otherwise it would be identical to the library. Or am I wrong?

The reason walls outclass forts its the OP upgrade all holding walls to max upgrade, that increases levy caps across every holding in the province and paired with generic watchtowers for a further 10% the fort cant even begin to compete...

I've noticed this to but I cant see anything in the code as to why it wont?
Code:
upgrade_automata_throne = { # Automata Throne
    picture = GFX_upgrade_icon_stones
    potential = {
        OR = {
            government = roman_imperial_government
            TECH_CONSTRUCTION = 6
        }
    }
    allow = {

    }
    active = { }

    flags = {
        valuable
    }
    build_time = 25
    gold_cost_flat = 1000
    gold_cost_ticking = 1
    owner_modifier = {
        monthly_character_prestige = 2
    }
}
government can only be used in a character scope, but TECH_CONSTRUCTION can only be used in a province scope. It should be:
Code:
OR = {
   government = roman_imperial_government
   FROMFROMFROM = { TECH_CONSTRUCTION = 6 }
}

Ive been looking through events related to wonders and insofar there is an event chain to rediscover a lost classical work for libraries, an event for various wonders that lets you take people to a secluded area( like the garden grove and fort tunnels) to talk, kill or shag them. An option in certain wonders (I'm assuming Cathedrals and mausoleums at least) to bury you dead predecessor there. An event about storing artifact in certain wonders. Events involving looting them for cash and artifacts. A town event that opens an additional building shot if possible, an event involving the library letting you write a better book, drinking from the fountain of youth(removes 2 years of age) and a number of events concerning maintenance.

Also the automata throne is a throne that adjusts its height!

Code:
upgrade_automata_throne_desc;By some complex machinery this throne can raise itself up and down at will.
