sort armies in outliner

How can I sort my armies (and navies) in the outliner? It's chaos and I've tried deselecting then selecting the armies button. It does refresh, but I have no idea in which order. I need some order in it. Is there a mod?

update: I have checked the answers given in similar topics here and elsewhere. They claim the given sort order is in fact the order in which the units were created. I've checked that, but it seems completely random because whenever I load the game, the order is thrown in disarray again and I get a completely new and still chaotic sort order. Besides, I know for a fact some units are older than others but they still get listed sometimes below and sometimes above newer units.
