Well, mostly it's not the strategy itself. It's that they don't like it's because it's "unhistorical" or some other reason...even though the people asking haven't stated they want something historical.

They didn't state that they want something gamey or whatever people called neither. I know you don't like being called gamey but you sure know, I suppose, that's not everyone's daily style to vassalize electors, sorry to mention this but it's the root of the disputes right?

DO remember, if we don't go against the forum rules, people surely do have the right to comment, to post, to say anything they want to say, none is forbidding you to suggest. They comment, you don't like, then suggest something else like you mentioned above.

Or at least, simply stop replying everything from everyone who commented on you, this won't solve the problem perfectly for you but at least you won't have to dispute over and over.

Vassalization is just to make it easier really.

In my little older games I just got incredibly high diplomatic skill from SOI+diplomatic advisor etc. And got emperorship that way. IS that gamey as well? =P Because I'm England and become emperor?

Everything is gamey according to these people.

Alexander the Great was going against the Greeks Major Enemy (Persia) and had a load of advantages against them.

Like being outnumbered?

He did however go further east than Persia...which was what I meant...and that Persia accepted him as king.

Yey I know that make it easier, I do that too sometimes.
But DO REMEMBER, everyone has his right to choose, to have his own opinion, to think as he like,
that is to say, if some one want the game harder, "more historical", "more role-playing", "more realistic", let it be since they can have it.

Suppose A: "These people" are right
You should correct when you are wrong.

Suppose B: "These people" are wrong
Solution I - Persuade them to being right.
Solution II - Left them alone with their opinion, enjoy your peace.
Have you tried I? Didn't work?
Try II.

I'm just tired of people complaining on *my* strategies that are very effective. And not "gamey" in the least, since I only use the game mechanics as they are. I don't release vassals with cores and reconquer them etc.

And just so you understand..it's them not letting me be. I don't care if they want to roleplay or have cybersex while arranging a royal marriage between their nations. I am just tired of people whining 24/7 when they could suggest something productive themselves (if they now disagree with what I say so much)

In this case it's me not being allowed to suggest what I think is best. And mainly I dislike that they say that my strategies aren't possible. It's not possible to form HRE early game, it's not possible to become HRE early as an orthodox nation...when I have done everything and find it easy to do so.

Are you not able anymore to play in your strategies after they commented?
(Calm, please, no more "whinning", "complaining", that won't help anything except offend people)
If you are still able to do that, then what's wrong with this? As we all agree they have that right, no?
And are your posts, your replies, deleted by someone since they commented them as "gamey"?
If not, they have that right, again.

It's you who said it's tiring (meaning want to end this for me), not them. So, remember what I suggested some minutes before?;)

It's not the responding that's tiring, it's the amount of whiners in the forum =P.

The game lets all of play the way we want to play. The issue here is some want to change the game to FORCE others into their structure or viewpoint. I say keep the game open like it is and let the individual player decide what they want. A WC no problem. Indians defeating the colonists no problem. Korea controlling the HRE no problem. Eradication of muslims, catholics, or other religions no problem. Doing a trading nation that stays in its borders no problem.

My beef is those that want to enforce rules that change the game and how we want to play it.

This is kinda OT, so I post it in another reply.

Chronicler buddy, take it easy, in fact I've been around some other forums(well that's somewhere you wont visit, a MMO forum in Chinese), and get opposed strongly, you know how they disagree? Haha, I won't resume those words, but I assure you that's much much much (x10) heavier than comments here.

People here do have patience and manner, so...just take it easy.

True. And that's what mostly tires me....their main reason to why my style of playing isn't okay is because it isn't "historical". Or "plausible" sometimes.

Darn I missed reading this part. Is this going to be in EU4? I hope so. :)

EU4 will be eroticafest.

They will add a whole new aspect of multiplayer gaming. Jumping in bed together means much more than just being allied now.

Which is their opinion and OK. But if they try to convince PI to disallow something that another person likes or believes in then both sides have a legitimate beef. To be fair some of your ideas I like and some I don't. The ones I like I try and the ones I don't I ignore. Same goes for all others posting ideas/techniques/strategy/opinions.

Hopefully they treat mine the same way. Use the ones they like and ignore the ones they don't.

Chronicler, why do you care? I, for example, really dislike your playstyle and have an entirely different gaming philosophy than you, but why does that hurt you? I, just like everyone else, am after all just a random guy on the internet. You post a lot and give helpful advices to a lot of people, and almost everyone acknowledges this. Your sometimes radical playstyle however makes people disagree with you, but why does that make you "tired"? They have valid points, too, and just because they think you are gaming the system does not mean they are better players than you, they just think of the game differently. Live and let live. Greetings

Greetings

Well, it's 2 things mainly

The first it's that it's always the same people that say these things...in new threads...they said it once already...isn't that enough? And in the end it's up to the person asking for advice if he wants to use it or not.

The second is that some have been very rude when commenting on my strats, this I have also greatly disliked.

AND DO REMEMBER, no one can de-facto "enforce" someone to do something in Internet.

In this case, if someone get annoyed by words left on Internet, since no one can enforce/make anybody to do something if people don't want to, they'd better solve in another way.

Like JustinianI said above, you can don't care.

And you replied once already too, that's indeed enough, heh.
