The ancient beliefs of our fellow birds
Cover our wings in red
But why do we judge them?
By what right can we judge?
After all, do we not wage war against others
Based on just as abstract ideas?
Why does space have borders?
It is not as if they can enforced.
We do not judge them
by their purported ideals
but by their actions
murder, murder, murder.
Brothers in wing
Sadly float dead
Unable to sing
Of those who bled
The Saiiban must learn
Though space is a wonder
There are those who burn
To tear it asunder
To burn with a desire to destroy
rather than to burn with a desire to learn
when beholding the vastness of the cosmos
Incomprehension.
How sad to see such bloodshed in the skies.
For what does bird condemn their fellow bird?
For creeds dreamt up and tales that hypnotise,
For nothing but the difference in a word.
The difference of a word
can change a whole song's meaning
from life to death

Hope you all had a good vacation. I apologize for the delay but between getting back into the swing of teaching after winter break and also being distracted by the occasional insurrection and treason in the highly functioning democracy I live in, it's been a distracting sort of time to try and focus on writing. Nonetheless, things seem to be settling down, for which I am grateful.
You may be wondering about the existence of both an Ix'Idar Star Collective and a Ix'idar Swarm. I created the swarm by copying the collective ( a stock race) and changing them into, well, a swarm. In this game, amusingly enough, not only do both exist, but they
border each other.
My personal head canon is that the swarm is a mutation of the collective.
