I have seen the Ai (sorta) do it only once.
What happens, is they blob out so much, that eventually war is declared on everyone that still is independent. After that, even before they conquer everybody else, The game just pops up a dialog box telling you that the *Insert Daimyo name here* was too strong and you have lost.

The whole point I am trying to make, is: Has anybody ever done world conquest in Sengoku just by playing? And if so, what happens? Can you form Japan? Does the game make you declare war on everybody if you get too big? Does the game still just end? Is it even possible? And lastly: I want a screenshot. O_O
