As we all see, the Liberals, Communists, and Socialists are unable to comprehend their own ideology. A bill, written in the language of their lies, safeguards free speech as they are wont to support. However, when it comes from one that opposes them, they suddenly forget their principles and show themselves as the snakes they are.

Furthermore, we see here the lie that is the Italian identity. The viper from the South, one of the foremost proponents of the destruction of the German state for the sole purpose of having it serve the Italian pseudo-state and her wallet, votes in German.

If Italian is real, why does she not vote in it? Because it is a lie perpetuated by a clique of corrupt communists who have only the destruction of the German state in their hearts.

We can't let the Communists put in a [possible] means of totalitarian control.

Freedom of Press and Assembly means just that.

The second Bill fully receives my support; the third bill, does not.

To the dishonorable Altmark; I speak German in the German Reichstag. I speak Italian in the Italian Parliament. I am not entirely sure what befuddles your brain here, as to how I vote in each chamber; and frankly, I'm not sure what business it is of yours, other than your feeble doddering old insensitivities.

To acquire the freedoms to speak, to act and to do; one must surrender their rights to be tyrants, their rights to demean, berate, belittle and attack those around them. Attacking, berating, belittling or otherwise being dishonorable cowards is not freedom; that is oppression. That is slothful and subhuman cowardice.

Besides, you're talking of freedoms? Your party is the one that has consistently railed against the very existance of our free Republic, against constitutional freedom for all citizens, and against freedoms for the worker, and against peace.

Where does your party's hypocrisy end, Altmark and Koscilny? At least my party makes no pretenses about our goals of worker emancipation and bringing the world closer to God through the freedom of man. It seems the only honorable Imperialist here is our honorable and peaceful Reichsprasident, who has stood aside from her partisan ideology and for unity.

And at the very least, of all the other men who stand here in this Reichstag before God and Country; they at least have some shred of decency. Even Herr Liberator, whose incessant ramblings have been the source of annoyance for everyone, has honor to speak of. You gentlemen, do not.

I am unbelievably proud to be a woman of a God, and a Communist; and no man, no matter how smarmy, prodding, or as much of an arse as he be, shall bring me down to his level; for I know, at the end of the day... well, that I'm better than you in oh so many ways.

And that much, gentlemen, is obvious.

I am not speaking on behalf of my party, but on behalf of the country. Such legislation should never be passed in this great country of German freedom!

You must have forgotten, that I was one of the workers. I was one who basically did slave labor, I saw the death of my sibling in a Bohemian factory. So do not tell me, that I am against the freedoms of the worker! Without the worker where would Germany be?; without the Capitalist where would Germany be?....the same answer goes to both.

Slothful, attacking, coward, dishonorable, and of course lack of decency.

I'm sorry that I want to defend my country from a reform that can possibly lead to a step towards totalitarianism (by none other than the Communists), but I do.

Yet again, a selfish comment as seen by a Communist. I do not believe that I am better than you (or worse for that matter), and I hope that you would think the same, but that is not true.

Let that be heard, though. The Imperialists do not share the same level of despise that I do, towards Communism.

Voting is now closed.

The Military Reform Act has passed the Assembly (328 to 148) but was defeated in the Conclave (15 to 60).
The Freedom of Speech Act is defeated in the Conclave (21 to 43).
The Decorum Resolution passes the Assembly (264 to 178) and Conclave (58 to 23). It requires the signature of the President and Chancellor ((in that order)) to become law.

We will reconvene in one year's time.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

((I will play and update tomorrow sometime. I am now formally activating the destabilization mechanics, since nobody has raised questions or concerns. I've also added a new section to the character roster, which provides a list of how many party members we have in each house. As people create new characters, please try to fill party gaps if they are for large parties. Check to see if my count is wrong as well; I have removed @DensleyBlair and @DutchGuy from the roster completely since both have dead characters and have yet to create new ones.))

Name: William of Hohenzollern / Wilhelm von Hohenzollern

Born: August 14th of 1874

Party: DDA

House : Assembly

Religion: German Catholic

Birthplace: Nürnberg

Residence: Nürnberg

Biography : While unknown to himself untill 1899, Wilhelm von Hohenzollern was born to the crazed revolutionary Ferdinand von Hohenzollern and his lower class wife in Nürnberg, just after the end of the Socialist occupation of the German Capital. Without knowing his father, he was raised in England (formerly German Cornwall) by his mother and her new husband, one Peter Mcdonough, a young Scottish born aristocrat. His mother renamed him and he new little the better then that he was William Mcdonough. Over time, his mother gave birth to a sister known as Elisabeth and a younger brother known as Alastair (though both of them preferred their nicknames of Bess and Al). They had a happy childhood. However, one thing that was noticed by young William was the strange accent of his mother, compared to others. However she shrugged it off, saying she would tell him at a later date. Young William McDonough fared quite well at school, eventually earning the privilege to go to the Royal University in Glasglow. It is here he studied both languages and politics, and became poltically active. It would not take long untill he had mastered several languages, such as German, Dutch and Italian. After his studies he got employed by the British as a diplomat, and served in Berlin for a year before being recalled due to private reasons.

It was then 1898. His stepfather died that year, after his carriage crashed into the sea near Bath. He would return to the province and care for his elderly mother, for she had already been deadly ill at the time. It was on her deathbed not a year later she told him what would be the greatest shock of his life. The man he had known and called father all his life turned out to be not. She continued on in what seemed flawless German. His real father was a man known as Ferdinand von Hohenzollern, and had been locked away into prison since before his birth. His more illustrious ancestors were the Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire. She asked him to bring him a small box from her desk. Inside it, was an aged piece of paper with the seal of the German Republic on it. It read : Wilhelm von Hohenzollern, born to Ferdinand von Hohenzollern and Fredericka Mauer. As he read the piece of paper, she pleaded to him to never visit his real father, for the man had probably gone insane from so many years of confinement into a solitary cell in Nürnberg. Then they invited in his little brother and sister and told them the story, for their mother had already become quite weak. They sat there and were there when she died, far too young at age 56.

Thus began the second and current chapter of his life. He moved to Nürnberg, in trace of the roots of his family. He formally had himself registered as a citizen of the Republic of Germany, showing his birth certificate. He settled and worked as a translator in Nürnberg for a few years, untill after the death of the incumbent for Nürnberg, he ran for the seat. His less then famous relative did not block his political career though, as he quickly overshadowed it with strong speeches and a lightning campaign based on rights for the young and to help end the bias towards a gerontocratic society. A young Germany for a stronger Germany was his campaign slogan. His opponents, a socialist and a conservative, both were in their late 60s. It lead him to a monstrous and worrying victory, recieving well over 60% of the vote.

((It is that time again. Also, proto-fascist. DDA is just temporary.))

The Supreme Court reminds the new Assemblyman that the Hohenzollern line of succession does not legally run through a revolutionary criminal. He forfeited any and all rights he might have had to pass on to his children by betraying the state.

((Step carefully, DG, especially since you did not inform me in advance of this new character, which the rules clearly state.))

((This character gives two whole nothings about an outdated and gerontocratic institution. If he were offered the throne, he would spit on it.

For the latter matter, I indeed seem to have forgotten about the whole matter. My apologies.))

((No big deal. :)

BTW, I won't be able to update until some time tonight (Thursday night) or possibly Friday. I was watching Season 5 of Game of Thrones with my wife performing vital tasks for the betterment of mankind, and Thursdays are super busy (although thankfully, this is my last busy Thursday).))

(( :D
The new season is great, you are in for a treat. Take as long as you want ;)))

((I wait until they come out on Blu-Ray, because I don't have cable and refuse to pay $15 a month to watch Game of Thrones when I can pay $25 and own it forever.))

((That's one way to put it! :) ))
