Yeah I agree completely!I love sprites. One of the best things about HOI1 was how easy you could make sprites for all the different units. H8 counters....
It's not that they don't look nice. They do. But they feel... inappropriate. Counters fit much better to the overall theme (in my personal opinion, that is).
I take sprites over counters any day. Counters are just too messy and makes it hard to get a proper overview over the situation.
I don't understand this argument. Clearly, counters provide more information on first glance than sprites do. Theoretically, this problem could be solved if P'dox design a sprite for every single unit type, but they won't.
No, counters are just a square which gives much less. The counter for planes are looking the same as those for an army of infantery or tanks.
