Hi, first and foremost, be reminded that the converter currently does not support SWMH. Work towards making it compatible will depend on the timing for SWMH's eastern overhaul, as that will be the basis of the SWMH converter.
As for the vanilla converter, I actually finished adapting it for the latest version of HIP/CK2/EU4 but since things sorta slowed to a halt development-wise, I think the HIP download hasn't been updated with this yet.
1445 as the Emperor of Brittania. I decide it's a pretty good time to go into EU4, so after clicking the intrigue option of preparing my game for EU4, I export the game, yet when I open EU4, there's nothing there! It simply won't work, it won't show up in the mods folder on the EU4 menu. Why? How do I fix this?
But this sounds more like you didn't read the instructions. Because HIP is a mod-foldered mod, the EU4 mod output will be automatically placed in Documents/(...)/Crusader Kings 2/HIP/eu4_export, rather than Crusader Kings 2/eu4_export, which is used in vanilla (as well as non-modfoldered mods). In order to access the mod you will always have to manually move the HIP output to either the vanilla folder or the euiv mod folder. While annoying, this is WAD and effectively unfixable.
Anyway, check the instructions posted by Oorlog for more detail.
(altough in the new version of the mod, the decision on startup was replaced by a startup event and all the converter tweaking events were hidden, so now you'll just have to accept the first event and everything else will be done in the background

)
