something weird happened in my game

in my game I asked Japan to join axis after USSR dow's me (I play Germany), USA joins the allies ...

Now it seems that communist China is also in the axis and is controlling all of Formosa (Taiwan), Shangai and Hainan island province together with the old communist possesions...

very very weird ? What happened ?

Edit: I'd guess that they where allies of Japan, but there is something inherently wrong with ComChi and USA being allies of Japan.
