I have a mod where you can learn random secrets from people for having a certain trait. I just learned that one of my courtiers has an incestuous secret from the mod. So far normal, right? Only problem is my religion accepts incest. Now maybe it was granted before she converted, and it isn't removed. But that sort of validates my position that traits like Incestuous should be granted no matter what. I get the argument that you shouldn't get a fame trait for something that's accepted/normal. I don't buy it for 3 reasons, but I do get it. First reason, doesn't matter if your religion accepts incest, doesn't matter if it's an OP Divine Blood (say a massive piety gain for marrying a close family member, and another monthly massive piety gain as well), doesn't matter if they keep it in the culture, AI players WILL NOT marry close family. So for that reason alone it should be granted, but I mentioned 2 other reasons. Second, just because YOUR religion accepts it doesn't mean EVERYONE accepts incest, and there should be something there for foreign rulers to do (like Norse dueling. Maybe not a full CB war reason, though). And third, you still gain the Witch trait (not secret), Deviant trait (ditto no secret), and Cannibal (repeat after me, no secret) even if your religion accepts it. Just like incestuous, adulterer/fornicator, and sodomite, they are fame traits. I get it, Witchcraft allows for the Grand Rite, and Deviancy grants stress relief. while Cannibalism grants a prowess boost with events that can grant health bonuses. But why should fame traits that grant JUST an opinion boost be removed, while the others stay around? I mean, what's the difference between being a famous cannibal and a famous lover of close family?

Having said all that, and the only reaction is having gotten a couple of likes, can anyone tell me how to make it so my character csn still get the incestuous trait if his religion/culture accepts incest? I'd love to be able to marry a sister, and get the trait, but now it's one or the other (in the former, also get either the adulterer or the fornicator depending if you're married or not, and your religion accepts adultery/fornication) trait.
