Sorry i dont know much about technical stuff;

Everything was working fine earlier today, but now every time i try to write a reply the text which i quote is displayed like in wordpad, its in a single line going to the right "outside of the screen" so i need to scroll the window to read (even as i type this text).

It used to be neatly formatted as a word page, once it got the edge of the page, it would go to another line.

When i go to advanced in my replies i see "Switch Editor to WYSIWIG mode" (by default this thing is turned on / blue), if i click on it, and enable the thing, text goes back to being "normal" (i just did it).

Problem is, i dont know how make it "off" by default - i tried the option in settings - nothing - its still on by default, no matter which of the 3 options i select.

Any ideas?

(edit: i did update my browser some hours ago, could that have caused it?)

I have had reports that an update to firefox I think it was did have that effect.
I have no idea what it was about the update that would cause it to be that way.
We will probably not do anything about it on our end as development is frozen on this version.
Hopefully the new software we are launching in the very short future will not have the same issue.

Yup then this has to be it, as i am running firefox. Thanks anyway.

Edit: it seems to be fine now, strange. When i quoted you to reply, text went back to normal.

Yes it seems to be the latest FF update; or at least those of us who have reported it all updated FF just before it started being broken. Though it cannot just be FF, because your forums are the only ones with this problem.
We will probably not do anything about it on our end as development is frozen on this version.
Hopefully the new software we are launching in the very short future will not have the same issue.
Yeah lets hope so.
Because even though WYSIWYG can be tolerated when nothing else works it gets really annoying if there for instance is a picture in the quote; then you will see that picture in the text you write. Also it will automatically italic/bold text you make, so when you switch back to code it will automatically put in extra code...
For instance trying to write
Code:
[noparse][size=4][B]something[/B][/size][/noparse]
in WYSIWYG will result in
Code:
[noparse][size=4][B][B]something[/B][/B][/size][/noparse]
. And the shortcuts doesn't work in WYSIWYG so you need to type in [noparse][/noparse] yourself instead of just hitting ctrl-b.:(
So I keep writing in code mode unless I am replying to a long reply and need to be able to easily see what I am replying to.

The reason it seemed fine is that none of Castellons lines were long enough to start horizontally scrolling. It still breaks the line if you press enter.
