Interesting scenario I do not quite get. I am King (queen) of Castille (primary), Leon, Galicia, and Portugal. I have four sons. The first is set to inherit Navarre and Castille, then second gets Galicia, the third gets Portugal and the fourth gets Leon.
Now my Primary heir inherits Navarre early, and subsequently dies in battle. His son inherits him. Now my grandson is the heir to Portugal and Leon. My second son is heir to Castille, the third son is heir to Galicia and the fourth son is left flapping in the breeze. So my question is, why does the inheritance not trace through the lineage directly stated otherwise as, why did my grandson not become my primary heir? Follow this question up with, why is my grandson now heir to two of my secondary titles? Final question is why is he taking precedence over my fourth son?
I actually like Gavelkind succession but it seems so incomprehensible and jumbled.
