Every now and then it'll occur where one of my units will just sit there and refuse to do anything. I'll tell one of my Panzer Armies to move somewhere, and it'll give me a projected ETA, but the unit just sits there with no animation, no movement. The same sometimes happens with my air units.

Another thing, I think there's an easy explanation here, but at one point one of my Panzer Armies got cut off from my front (by 1 division, but it was still cut off ;)). However, he didn't appear to be suffering any shortage of oil or supplies. IIRC units hold some kind of surplus or something, but any way of knowing how that works/how much is being stored?

The "Orders Menu" stores the ETA of the previous unit you ordered. This is a design feature, as it easyly allows to coordinate attacks. If your unit doesn`t "move" it is probably because the ETA is set too far in the future - the unit simply waits for it`s move to arrive exactly at the same time as the previous unit. If this happens, cancel this movement order, order a new one and set the time back (best accomplished by pressing the "-" button left to "month".

it`s ~ 1 week of supplies.

1) Yes, I noticed that about the orders menu... how it will 'remember' the last order you gave to another unit. However, I have set the time down to the lowest it allows (minus next to the month), however, the unit still won't start moving.

2) That's what I figured. ;)

the "trick" is, that you really have to "cancel" the previous movement order (i.e. right-clicking on the provine, where the unit is in) and then to give a new movement order. simply changing the ETA while the unit is still on the move is not sufficient.

I wish there was a way to disable the ETA for movements it always seems to get my armies into freezing, besides airstrikes requires far to much micromanagement to be feasible when fighting a two front war. What i am trying to say is that i like the ETA movement system when invading islands and such but not the fact that it is always active.

Indeed...
There ought to be a way to 'Shift right-click' which automatically skips the CCB and makes a unit head for a province at full speed.
