Sorry for the noob question, but it seems I can't get it right:
With some countries, it's just impossible to land amphibious assaults on enemies. not because it's hard, just because of a very annoying supply problem.
If I try to strike a continent I don't have physical access to (for example: landing a German strike on Africa with no adjacent allied territory) my troops seem alright in the beginning - I'm pressing on with the attack and the units get supplied. and suddenly, after a while, the supplies stop coming and I'm forced to pull my forces out before they dissolve. I know I could use transport planes to supply, but they are just annoying and expensive to make.
Any idea what can I do before I renew my strike on French Algiers?
