Hi all! Was playing a GC with Turkey and decided to take a few screens for those of us that enjoy that sort of thing

All the pictures are from a Turkish GC, except for one that I took of Napoleon sieging Spain. Haven't seen any screens of Napoleon in action yet... so I figured why the hell not.

Those screens were very well taken and quite enjoyable. I am happy you showed us the events I also noticed that armies are A LOT smaller now (thank god!), those diplomatic and DP screens look SOOO tempting!

Yeah, these are quite cool! Do you know of anybody who is playing a country in SE Asia? Maybe they could do the same.

Just know that Byzantium can be quite a pain. They start off with Thrace and Morea, and in the first war you can only annex Morea because of the 1-prov. annex rule. So while yo're waiting those 5 years to reattack and take Thrace, they usually join a very aggrevating alliance with Castile, Aragon, Portugal, and whatever other nations are in that alliance. Doesn't always happen, but I'd say about 75% of the time you'll have a long annoying war ahead of you.

Gosh, Macedonia seems real easy to convert to Islam...56% chance of success? I wonder if it'd be so easy for Christians to convert Anatolia...and why is the Turkish capital there? Will really put a damper on any attempts to expel Turks from Europe...

Most of the provinces in the Balkans are easily converted to Sunni. In fact, I've yet to fail. And the Turkish capital is not in Anatolia, it's in Thrace (if that's what you were asking). As for expelling Turks from Europe... just annex them. Ottomans don't get a morale boost like in EU, so they are a bit easy to defeat if you wanted to wage a good campaign against them. Hopefully this will be fixed in future patches. I usually play Turkey just so that the empire isn't raped and vassalized by the coalition of minor powers.

Well before The Turks took Constantinople the capital was Adrianople (sp?), which was in Macedonia.

Nah, I did mean Anatolia (the general area, not the province)...if it's feasible to convert the Greek/Orthodox "heartland", I would hope that the same would go for the Turkish "heartland" of Anatolia...I think I'll start another thread 'bout the Turkish capital being in Macedonia...
