I just had a thought I wanted to share really quickly. After completing all the tradition trees, there really isn't anything left you can do with unity. While it is very very difficult to complete all of the trees, certain play styles make it very quick to do.
Then it occured to me that certain repeatable techs are almost essential to gameplay, and those could very easily be accommodated in the various tradition trees. How I feel that should work is, when you're able to unlock a new tradition, you can instead choose to gain a buff from a completed tradition tree for a fraction of the tradition cost without affecting future tradition cost.
